This book of songs indeed makes the students more cognizant of how language is constructed.It is a pity that knowledge of parts of speech has been taken out of the schools or at least madeto seem not important. Sure---just writing freely can be fun; but like everything elsein our earthly community, there is nothing like actually knowing where the words belong.Knowing the how and why also gives us more confidence in our work.Grammar Rocks is a good introduction to the fact that there is more to writing well than just putting the words down on paper.
