and become great friends with her two neighbors
Hannah’s life is finally falling into place. She’s accepted her dream job in Manchester, has a lovely apartment, and become great friends with her two neighbors. Shortly after starting her new job, she starts dating the boss, which causes some tension between her and her coworkers.Unfortunately, that becomes the least of Hannah’s worries. Hannah starts feeling like someone has been in her apartment, and begins to notice odd things happening around her. When people around her start dying, she doesn’t know what to think. Little does she know, she’s being watched by someone who will stop at nothing to make sure Hannah is his.I definitely have some mixed feelings about this book. I’ll start with the things I loved. First of all, the killer/stalker. It’s revealed in the first chapter who the killer is, so the subsequent chapters alternate between Hannah’s point of view and the killer, Don’s. Don has to be one of the most terrifying antagonists I can remember reading. He’s cunning, conniving, sadistic, and psychopathic, and has excellent military training that allows him to easily cover up his murders and pin them on someone else. He sets his sights on Hannah, and the insight we have into his mind is just really scary. I absolutely loved that aspect of it. I also loved the overall plot of the story, and particularly loved the ending, despite it not being what I excepted to happen (or what I wanted to happen for that matter!)Now, the one issue I had with the book was the insta-love! As previously mentioned, Hannah starts dating her boss, but it felt like that relationship happened so quickly, and it was very underdeveloped. All of a sudden they went from having a business dinner to him showing up at her apartment to cook for her. Shortly after that, they’re talking about kids and Hannah is thinking he’s “the one” – at this point it had been only 3-4 weeks since they’d known each other! I don’t think I would have minded the relationship storyline if it had been more developed and if the progression of their relationship made more sense.

Deliciously Dark and Twisted!
"One thing was certain - if he couldn't have her - no other would."You know the kind of book that you makes you hope for good to overcome evil, but at the same time has you on the edge of your seat waiting for the worst? The kind that when you finish it, you just kind of stare off in to space with your mouth slightly agape, not believing you read what you just read? The kind, that when you turn off the light to go to sleep you wonder, Is someone is watching me right now?" Well, this book is all of that and more!Hannah McLaughlin is ready to move on from her sleepy-town life. She's looking for a change. Some excitement in her life. When the perfect job opportunity arises in the city, she jumps at the chance. She's settling in, making friends, and she's caught the eye of her boss, Max Myers. Everything is going just as she hoped. But strange things keep happening - a feeling that she's being watched, that someone's been in her flat when she's not there. When mysterious, and tragic events befall those closest to her, is it just a coincidence or are they all somehow connected?Donald Henry was taken with her from the first time he saw Hannah. Now, he just has to make her his. No one will get in his way. This was my first read by Netta Newbound. Now, I can't wait to read them all!! If you love a good suspense, thriller, twisted read, then I highly recommend this one!

The Watcher
Wow! What can I say that hasn't been said in the reviews yet? I absolutely cannot believe the author did what she did to these characters--but I'm so glad she did it. Talk about raising the creepiness factor in a book. A reader might be mad at her for doing what she does, but hey, it takes a strong author to go where the story takes her, and it turned this book of stalker fiction into a pure masterpiece. Left with my mouth gaping open at the ending, it quickly turned into a satisfied grin. This is the first of this author's books I have read and reviewed but it surely will not be the last. I already have queued up another to go soon. This is yet another author I can put on my faves list. I have a feeling everything this author writes is going to be my new favorite. Go grab your copy now for a night-long reading thrilling, chilling reading fest!

Great end
It was slow in the setup and took the author a lot of pages setting things up although it didn't need all that but once things paced it was unstoppable. The end was a great one and it forced me to increase my rating for the story by one extra star.On the opposite side, the scenario wasn't designed very careful and there were some flows in it.Overall, I liked it and I discourage the author to write other parts of this novel. It's good as it's and any modifications to its end to satisfy the readers would degrade the quality of this one.

This will Creep you out!!
So many times I have seen books listed as thrillers, psychological-thrillers, or creepy but this pegs the creep out meter. My meter was red lining from the first page. I'm not sure if I would have had enough nerve to finish this book if I was still living in the city or in an apartment. There were times I shivered thinking about what was happening to Hannah. This book has everything, family drama, new job jitters, the thrill of being out on your own for the first time, falling in love for the first time, and the horrors of what makes someone turn into a psychopath.

No true ending
The book was written in great detail, and the diamagnetic was great. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book has all you would want to read in a murder mystery, except for the ending. It truly has no ending that I would love in a book. It ends very unsatisfactory, and by reading the description of the following book it seems like it’s a whole different subject. I hate books that end like The Watcher. It left me high and dry wanting more. I am going to read the next book, but I have the feeling it may be like the first.

What a brilliant book
I have just finished this book and am trying to get my breath back!An utterly brilliant read. This is the story of Hannah who leaves her home for a new job in Manchester where a whole new life awaits her. Gradually terrible things start to happen to people she is close to. Although as a reader you are aware of who is doing these things, the victims are not and you are taken through some dark and gruesome scenes as one by one, these characters are killed off.I love the way this book was written, you really feel that you are living through the happiness with Hannah and then gradually the horror of what she goes through. The ending left me stunned.I could not recommend this book enough. Netta Newbound has become one of my favourite authors and I look forward to her next book.

He can see you......
If you think that bad things only happen to iffy people in dank basements during the witching hour, then think again!Hannah is a very happy bunny – she’s moved to Manchester for a great new job, she has brilliant neighbours, and, to cap it all, when she meets her new boss, Max, they are both instantly smitten. Cue smoochy music and happy couple walking off into the sunset? Sadly, nothing could be further from the truth.Someone is watching Hannah’s every move. He knows where she goes and what she does - and with whom – and he’s not a happy bunny. Hannah may not be aware of it, but she belongs to him and he’ll do whatever’s necessary to clear the way. When bad things begin happening to the people around her, Hannah realises she has a major problem ; one which gets very close to home……….This is an amazing book, with engaging, believable characters. I immediately warmed to Hannah and her friends and quite fancied Max!!The killer’s identify is revealed early on, but this does not spoil the story at all. You are given a peek into the mind of a madman as he takes you along with him on his deadly forays! This book took me on a white-knuckle ride, shook me up and left me yelling at my iPad - in other words, a thoroughly enjoyable read! Expect the unexpected and take nothing for granted – this is a definite 5* read!

An ultimate fear, who could be watching.
Book DescriptionLife couldn’t get much better for Hannah. She accepts her dream job in Manchester, and easily makes friends with her new neighbours. When she becomes romantically involved with her boss, she can’t believe her luck. But things are about to take a grisly turn.As her colleagues and neighbours are killed off one by one, Hannah’s idyllic life starts to fall apart. But when her mother becomes the next victim, the connection to Hannah is all too real.Who is watching her every move? Will the police discover the real killer in time?Hannah is about to learn that appearances can be deceptive. My ReviewWOW what a fantastic psychological thriller, very harrowing, slow burning page turner with the OMG where did that come from pull you in factor, so much so I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed the character of Hannah, she was easy to relate to, the fact she was a young and single looking for love, struggling to make friends and career focused didn't in my view detract from the plotline. It was a great story unfolding around Don, one mans obsession with Hannah and how no other person is to be party to Hannah's life, anyone who got in the way of his Hannah met an untimely death. There are some hard hitting, graphic scenes in the story that may not suit every person and may make them uncomfortable but I found even though they were graphic it didn't detract from the story as it explained a lot about Hannah's stalker and his mental health and childhood. The ending I feel has been left open to an interpretation that there could possibly be a follow up to this novel, but necessarily the case.Netta has left me gobsmacked and in awe of her writing and I cant wait for the next instalment of writing whatever her next page turner may be, I shall be waiting with baited breath for another hold your breath storyline.

Brilliant! A must read.
The Watcher is the second book I have read by Netta Newbound. An author who is rapidly becoming a favourite author of mine. The Watcher is a fantastically written psychological thriller, a real page turner, that I found impossible to put down.Hannah gets offered promotion, and moves to Manchester to start her new life. She loves her job, she soon makes great friends with her two neighbours, and a new romance with her boss completes her dream life. But, life is about to take a terrible turn!Unbeknown to Hannah, she is being watched. Her every move is being seen through the hidden cameras in her flat.Without wanting to give away any spoilers in this review, all I can do is highly recommend you read it.I am looking g forward to reading more (all) of Netta Newbound's books

Brilliantly gruesome and twisted!!!
If my heading grabbed your attention then this is the book for you!I actually can't believe some of the heinous crimes described that The Watcher committed and I'm sure I was pale green a few times, but I am a bit of a lightweight when it comes to gruesome.Having said that, I couldn't stop reading as I was so invested in Hannah from the start and her family and friends thereafter. And that ending...I can't believe how this all ended! I'm still in shock! Absolurely brilliant!!
