Melitta 6764396 Aroma Signature De Luxe Filter Coffee Machine, Black/Stainless Steel

Definitely not a £100+ machine but at £60 on sale it's excellent value. Like all coffee systems it takes some dialling in to suit your taste, but you can get delicious coffee out of this machine easily and consistently. It feels slightly lightweight/delicate in construction at first but it's fine in daily use, and it's a coffee machine not a hammer so I'm fine with that. It certainly looks the part, and it makes delicious tasty coffee so mission accomplished in my book. I suspect it may not be so good for brewing larger batches, but for those like me wanting a smaller machine, it's spot on. It has some nice touches like the non-drip filter basket (which works great) and I also like the glass jug, clear plastics and subtle illumination. Unsurprisingly uses Melitta paper filters which are ridiculously cheap, great quality & readily available. Overall it's a very clean and stylish piece of design which also ticks all of the functional boxes. It makes lovely coffee & looks great doing it, so for the price I'm very happy with this machine.P.S. I dose 8.5g of coffee per 100ml water & typically brew in batches of 4-600ml with Melitta gourmet filters. That's the sweet spot formula for me & works for several different bean types from medium roast to extra dark.

Esta no es una cafetera de goteo cualquiera, lo hace rápido y muy bien. No la puedo comparar con otras cafeteras Melitta, pues es mi primera, pero con otras marcas, esta es mi quinta máquina, puedo decir que todas, las que he tenido, son muchísimo peor, o por otras palabras Melitta es mejor. El design es retro pero resulta bonita.Además este modelo tiene cosas que son muy agradables: la dupla resistencia, el café está siempre caliente pero no quemado, y la posibilidad de hacer un programa más lento a media carga. Quien prefiere el café de goteo y tiene la posibilidad de comprar este modelo seguro que se va quedar muy contento.

Stylish and a great addition to my kitchen

I have used a lot of this type of coffee maker over the years as I use it in my office 5 days a week. I think some like the Kenwood K mix are more stylish and modern looking and are also a little less bitsy to use, lid off, filter holder out, cover off etc. when you make your brew but this machine is well made and my last one outlasted any previous brand by some distance. A couple of brew options available so if you want a pot of filter coffee well worth consideration.
