I ordered this product due to low price. I started using it this week and was impressed with the quality and taste of the coffee however, this morning the glass cracked, on only the 3rd time which I have used this french press. The glass splintered and cracked when I poured in the hot water, and due to the pressure from the steam, the press essentially exploded, spraying shards of glass and hot water/mixed coffee grounds all over my kitchen. The poor quality of the product is disappointing but the danger resulting from the poor quality is the most concerning aspect. I highly recommend you spend a few extra bucks and get a better quality machine. This is the most disappointed I have been from an amazon purchase.

I really appreciate the design, with the metal protective feet and the secure handle. The glass is securely held by the metal frame, so danger of breakage is reduced. However, the glass appears quite delicate, so it needs to be handled with care. Also, there is a metal 'washer' that holds the filter on the end of the plunger, and it needs to be tightened on a regular basis.I actually discovered that the metal 'washer' allows for the easier cleaning of the metal filter. So it does need to be tightened after each use. I love this French press!

we purchased two of this and broke the glasses so decided to get the copper one stays longer . maybe ok for someone who is super gentle. not for me.

I am disappointed with the quality, it works great at first. But with every press the screws got louser and louser, until they finally stopped screwing back together and now it's useless.

I let a friend borrow mine, but instead of asking for it back, i bought this one instead. This french press coffee maker is just right for small gatherings and looks nice too. Using a french press, instead of a coffee maker with a paper filter allows the polyphenol rich oils from freshly ground coffee beans to enhance the flavor of your coffee and is healthier for you too. I am never going back.

Made freshly ground coffee in this awesome French press and it is amazing !! Coffee came out very strong and smooth just they way I love it. It's great quality and works just as well as more expensive ones I've purchased in the past.

I have been using a Bodum French press to make coffee for the last 25+ years. It is the only coffee I will make. I bought this Brewsentials French press as a back-up to our Bodum when we need extra coffee made. I regret this purchase very much. Right out of the box I noticed it felt flimsy and poorly constructed/designed as compared to Bodum's products. The lid is light and wobbles around on the canister. But the worst thing of all is the way it leaks terribly when you pour your coffee. I have to pour my cup over the sink because it literally flows out in a second, leaking stream as I'm pouring. It has happened every single time, and I've had this thing for 2 weeks now; I use it just about daily. Huge mess, and a good portion of your coffee is wasted. My advice is to spend an extra $5-$10 and get a Bodum. This thing is a piece of garbage.
