Bought to run cat5 up to the rafters.
I could not locate my wire puller, so I jumped on Amazon and find this for a great price. The length of each section was perfect because of the clearance I had. I had no issues with it, worked as expected.

Decent Tool
I am pleased enough with the product. I wish the product included a small length of chain to help grab with a magnet to pull through. I taped such to mine to get it pulled through. The magnet included is not as strong as I would have liked, but with a little patience it all worked out. I pulled and ethernet cable from my basement to my attic through an interior wall. I had seen in the attic where electrical came up for the AC unit and in the unfinished basement saw where it went up. I move over a few inches and ended up in the wall studs where the electrical was not run and was able to get two cables pulled up for adding wired internet to the top floor. Only needed one, but figured I would run a second as a backup since I had it successfully line up. For the money, great product.

A little too flexible for my situation
I gave three stars but its more about my application than problems with the product. The rods, when assembled to a length of 12 feet or greater, become quite flexible. This became a bit of a problem for me as I was pushing into an open attic space with trusses. The trusses are wide open and allow the rod to veer left or right and go through the truss webbing. So the rods end up in the next lane over, which is workable but not what I wanted. In one situation I wanted to use the hook adapter on some of the unused rods to hook the main rod and move it over, however it turns out the threads on the hook are too small to screw onto the rods. It like the hook was made for a smaller set, so its worthless. If there's ever a next time for me, I will look for a stiffer set of rods. I'm sure this flexibility is good in some applications, but not for me.Other than that, I was quite happy with the quality of the rods and the connectors.

Yikes! Connecters break like eggshells!
Twice in a hot attic, feeding wires through places, these things broke, leaving me in an awkward position. Put any pressure at all on the screw in nipples and they are prone to breaking. I was simply pulling them at an angle through a hole in the ceiling in the sheetrock. Please see the pictures. The male parts that screw into the female at the joints, simple break off. Not a good product at all, at least if wire needs to bend.

Great kit for DIY
I couldn't be more pleased with this item. The magnetic tip was particularly useful in my case. The rod ends are firmly attached to the rods. The threaded connections have significant length of thread engagement so the joint is strong. The tip ends are brass so the are not magnetic. There are no illustrations with the item. The best illustrations are in the Amazon listing which shows potential uses for the different ends.
