I've used a couple of similar switches for built-in equipment but there's always an issue with the exposed power connections when you open up the box. This is great because the insulated connectors cover up the only bare metal on the rear so you have much less risk of accidental shorts or injury from touching exposed power conductors. Of course you should guard against these things anyway but this provides a really good extra level of security.

ordered this for the side of a small power box that needed a mains connection. one of these does the job and gives an integrated power on/off switch and indicator.the wires are not standard UK colours which need changing if that is a requirement, they are however long enough and the terminals provided fit the AC/DC converter its connected to well enoughuseful with a selection of fuses too

Kettle lead type Power Socket======================Yes this is a little more dearer than the loose sets of power socket, rocker switches, and fuses you can buy in bulk, yet I still like this one - other than the wires it's all preassembled, with only three terminals to worry about on the back, the L, N and E terminals, all clearly and correctly marked on the plastic. Even the wires have the spade ends already crimped on. The minor niggle for me is the colours of the wires - why black red and blue? Seriously, a yellow or green wire would have been much better for earth - obviously the Chinese must have different wiring standards/colours. Talking of wiring standards I took a peek inside, but all looks good - on the loose sets on other listings I see mistakes where some sellers tell you to use the fuse across Neutral (should always be across Live in the uk). Another minor niggle is the markings on the fuse are so faint, it's really hard to read. Other than that, a good power socket switch. Currently selling for 7.99

The switch work fine but the light stop working after first use.

These utilities from abroad come with one major short coming, don't install until you've made sure that live and neutral are correctly wired, test with continuity on multi meter , that live is the one going through fuse and switch. Iv had a switch,socket,fuse unit that was not correctly wired and so had to be rewired, I'm thinking safety here, with live and neutral incorrectly wired, the device/ machine may actually work,,but not safely, One sign is that your equipment may run but not switch off

Bought this to fit on an old record player Garrard AT6 from the 60s much better idea than wire coming out the box. Great for this sort of thing or other electrical projects. Nice bag of fuses too, very good value. Item was very strong and well made. My only concern was it's showing wired up wrong in the description so good job I used a battery pack rather then the grid. Update, The LED has since conked out and it trips my circuit breaker every time I turn it on will have to relace it.

used this on my partycade to supply power to the surge stip inside my build. It worked great and has fuse protection and the USB plugs come in handy.

The switch itself is great. Do not use the wiring that comes with it, or at least re-crimp or replace the connectors. I pulled all 3 wires out of the pre-crimped connectors just trying to remove them from the switch.I replaced with properly crimped on connectors and it works great.

I really liked the 3 wire setup. I just had to verify which clips were the neutral, line, and ground and connect those up to the proper wires on the 110 outlet. Easy peezy!
