Expect to have to replace the poorly designed and badly made rubber feet they send you as the bolts are poorly-threaded and the feet (your only place to grip) "spin" on the bolts when you try to tighten them. A quick trip to the hardware store resulted in good carriage bolts and rubber caps to fit them.Also expect to air it out for a week or so as the one I got stunk of steel mill (smoke and carbon) and had loose steel milling detritus everywhere. I gave up the included rubber mat as a lost cause and replaced it, but the rest of the horrific smell went away with time and a good cleaning of all the metal surfaces.But, it's a cheap unit compared to real professional scales so I expected the usual poor Chinese knockoff manufacturing issues; and otherwise, it seems accurate, stable and as much value for the money as I expected.

Great and all ready to use. Just one cord to plug in and your ready to go. I have a huge pet pig so I wish I had gone up one size =/

DON'T BUY THIS SCALE!!! I bought this item Feb 4th. Returned it because it didn't work. I bought another one thinking that surely this one would work. It worked for exactly 2 weeks and then stopped working. It doesn't come with any kind of manual or any way to pull up a manual. I did find out that the Total Pet name is associated (if not the same company) as Pet Edge. When I contacted them to try to get a manual they told me they wouldn't help me since I bought it through Amazon. I sent it back. Amazon was wonderful about returning both scales.

This scale is wonderful! Digital readout is easily seen and convenient to use! I am in the aftercare side of pet care and this fits into our business nicely!
