Bloody Fantastic!
My favorite deadly redhead has impressed me again! I absolutely love Ruxandra. She is a demon , a vampire, but she has a conscious and dare I say a heart!Last we seen of Rux she was captured and held by Countess Elizabeth Bathory. Rux had become a beast, from living in the wild for so long. Slowly she returned to herself and was given freedom. She learned to control her wild side and gained knowledge of what had passed since she went wild.Elizabeth, she is something else. I wanted to like her, but at the same time something was off. Elizabeth brought rux with her to Vienna, to see the king and discuss her land and girls. She is on the verge of losing everything and hopes Rux can help.Nothing works out. Rux comes to a decision she was lead into. One she will regret. Ruxandra learns a lot of things and is terribly heartbroken by them. I'm heart broken for her, but she's strong and I believe in her.

Wow again!! This was better than the 1st book!!
I loved this book!! I rarely stay up past my bed time as need my sleep, and so I usually stop reading by eleven. This book though... I could not stop reading! I looked over and saw oh god it's one thirty! Lol I felt like hell the next morning but wow what a he'll of a good story. I love the subjects in this book, they are so real and so three dimensional. You don't always get to really know the protagonists well unless a book is very well written, and in this series it was like I wasn't in bed but I was there watching it all happen. A book that is so well written that you feel you're transported into the story, is almost like magic. It's a rare book too that does this. I really hope that there will be many many more stories written about the adventures of me Dracula!! I can not wait for book three... there will be one I hope. Bravo!! More more!!

If you've read Anne Rice this is going to seem very familiar
Another blatantly Anne Rice styled episode, but it's a good one. There's a great roller-coaster ride of emotions, strong characters to love or hate, and enough hooks to keep you rushing through it.It's not a long volume, but I'd rather have something short and good than boring filler.Make no mistake, this is throw-away genre fiction. There's no deep message here, it's just an adventure, often emotional, often violent. But if you loved Anne Rice's vampire books, this will probably provide great entertainment. It's a bit more modern in its thinking and style than Rice, less prone to sentimentalism, and the protagonist does much less useless brooding. If you like the vampire genre, and you like action adventure with a little sprinkle of romance, and you like personal growth stories, then this is a great pick.

Yay! A Good Book for a Change
After a while the urban fantasy genre starts to get old. For me I believe this is due to the fact that there are so many people writing the "Twilight style" kind of books. These kind of books are just a type of pollution. They are less of a sign of creativity and more of a sign of general laziness with a little greed thrown to spice things up. This book is of another type. It's a type where the author actually thought outside the box by taking something already known and putting a completely different spin on it. To be perfectly honest, there was actual creativity combined with good writing rather than the typical Twilight B.S. In the end you get a good book and that's what the urban fantasy genre needs more of.

So frustrating
Oh I don't like being disappointed in a book! I'm thinking with a 133 years under your belt your instincts would be a little better... considering you spent most of it in beast mode! I get it she doesn't like being a vampire, she's learning as she goes. So don't feed on the innocent, stick to the dregs of society. She can feel emotions! Go with that. Don't crawl back into hole!!! GRRRR! The last few chapters made Book 2 redeeming for me. So yeah I'm still getting Book 3.

Even better than the first...
In my mind, there are three things I look at when I'm trying to decide if I like a book or not. How well it keeps my attention, whether or not I care about what happens to the characters, and whether or not I find myself yelling at the characters as the story progresses. This book ticks all those boxes. I devoured this book as soon as I got it. Ruxandra definitely grew in this book as a character, which I appreciated. There were several twists I did not see coming. I couldn't turn the last 50 pages fast enough. Well done Mr. Kennedy, very well done. I look forward to more from you.

Better than the first.
My review on the first book was super long. I planned on giving the second book a try even though there was a lot wrong with the first, and Iโm glad I did. This story was much better. I still think the author pays too much attention to breasts and there definitely didnโt need to have so much nudity, but I enjoyed the story. There were no boring parts, the plot moved along nicely and they were action packed. I hope Ruxandraโs character continues to improve.

Very good read!
Anyone in need of a good page turner, very good for passing time, and not for leaving you tired at the end

Woah
Focusing less on vampires and more on manipulative relationships this book is still a very interesting read. Worth the $3 you have to pay for it. Not exactly an epic classic but gripping. Looking forward to the next book.

Dark but gripping
Deffinatly better than the first book, think I finished it in a day (which isn't like me)I did notice one part that was a mistake.Ruxandra didnt tell Elizabeth about her command ability they agreed to discuss it later but never did then a few pages later Elizabeth claimed ruxandra had told her.If this series was ever made into a movie it would be terrifying

Not Everything Dies
enjoyed the basic story, but spoilt by the ridiculous sadistic sexual violence that was in abundance, it didn't help the story along one bit.
