Outcast 4
Another great volume. I still feel like I have no idea where this story is going—which is a good thing. Cannot wait to learn more in the next one. See you there!

Outcast Forever
Ughhhh Robert Kirkman literally knows how to write comic books so well. I started first getting into comic books by reading The Walking Dead (also by Kirkman) and then once I caught up, needed a new comic book to binge-read. Well, lo and behold, I stumbled upon Outcast and have not been disappointed. Outcast is dark and suspenseful and you really get involved with the plot and startling for the characters. Churchman definitely has a knack for writing comics.

Dark and Perfect
Kirkman at his best here. This series is very dark, but also super human positive. I think this is the kind of series for someone who wants more psychological than gory stuff (a la The Walking Dead). This is more intense intellectually and spiritually and also plays into some religious belief systems which i found interesting. Highly recommend it for someone who is already into dark stuff.

The plot doesn't really move anywhere. I could've told you most of what was learned in this volume just by deducing from previous volumes. If you need the GN for a collection then get it. If you're reading for the story, maybe wait until the next volume.

The Blood-and-Guts Volume
Outcast Vol. 4: Under Devil's WingCollects issues 19-24.As this volume starts, Kyle (the series’ protagonist) is the prisoner of Sidney (the main villain so far). Sidney explains a bit about his connection to Kyle, not that much of it made any sense to me.Reverend Anderson searches for the missing Kyle. A cop cracks Anderson’s noggin and he winds up Sidney’s prisoner. The Reverend fights for his life against Sidney and his minions (not the tiny, yellow, singing kind of minions), starts a fire, and rescues Kyle.In the chaos of the inferno, Sheriff Brian (somewhat POSSESSED), flees into the woods. The Reverend and Kyle track him down and succeed in exorcizing the Sheriff.Gratuitous appearance of a wolf, considered on the Good Guys' team.Sidney confronts Kyle again and Sidney ends up captive in a car trunk. Left alone with Sidney, the Reverend carves a cross into Sidney’s chest. The Reverend doesn’t stop there.I was going to call this the Not-Much-Happens volume but this is definitely the Blood-and-Guts volume so far.

Awesome series
Clearly underrated considering Kirkmans other work. But this series has proven to be pretty addicting

SO DISAPPOINTED!
This was supposed to be a Christmas gift (it was what my cousin asked for!) but when it arrived the condition of the book looked like a toddler had thrown it around a few times. The pictures actually make the condition look better than it really was!

NOT AS ADVERTISED. FROM A PUBLIC LIBRARY
When I purchased this book it was advertised as used but “like new” however upon receiving the book I can see it is battered and torn. The book is from a public library in Florida which means it has had multiple owners/ borrowers and is stamped. The quality of the book is not at all what was advertised and I will not be buying from this seller again.

Slower pace than it's predecessors.
A good read, but the pace seems slower than the first 3 books, I just hope that this series will live up to it's potential and not get stretched out ad infinitum the way that TWD seems to be.
