This book was steamy and so tear jerking for good reasons. The main female character is so strong and so loving, such a great role model, and she fights for what she wants and is very humble. She never gave up on the thing she loved most. The main male character is also a very loving person. He’s so obsessed and territorial over his woman, I love itttt. He also fights for his family and I just highlighted so much stuff in this book bc it blew me away. I really hope you give this book a chance, I don’t think you will regret it! Alec is determined to never fall in love again after his ex-fiancée cheated on him & left him for Elena’s horrible brother.Elena marries Alec in order to save her mother’s life & provide her with the care she needs to wake up from her coma. As her own family pushed her away & banished her from their “family”.I loved how loving Alec was without him ever realizing it, how he looked after her, took care of her problems, & ensured he could do everything in his power to keep her happy (even without loving her) according to him anyway lol. BUT I also disliked how he treated her like a mere object sometimes & he brushed off her concerns when he was upset, it made me upset too but he was sweet overall so I won’t complain too much.Elena on the other hand I loved how kind and lovable she was. She was always their to help her friends and family. She always gave Alec the benefit of doubt until she no longer could which was cute but annoying at the same time like girl get uppp! But i get it, it would seem a little out of character for her since she was a sweetheart.Anyway 4 stars because it was good overall, plot, spice, HEA. After her father and stepmother, brother and half sister turn her away, she has no where to go, no one to turn to.After being turned away, someone suggests a gentleman’s club where she can potentially make extra money on the side. There she runs into Alexander, her childhood best friend’s broody older brother. Alexander needs a wife, and Elena needs money for her mom, so Alexander proposes a marriage of convenience.I loved, loved loved this story!! Ahhh, Alexander was sooo HOT! I love an alpha boss that takes control.Elena is so sweet, I feel so bad for what her family does to her, but she stays strong and stands up for herself and her mom!Elena and Alexander are so cute together, I just love them. Their relationship was so cute to watch (read) as it grew and developed.
