Haiku Home Premier LED Indoor/Outdoor 2200-5000K Lighting, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Works with Alexa

This is a surprisingly difficult review to write.It does what it sets out to do. It has motion detection. You can set a warm or cool color. It works with Alexa.The minor struggles... that is probably one too many.- I can't get my kids to stop trying to use the light switches on the wall. You need to wait a few minutes after flipping a switch back on to successfully power on on the device through an Alexa command.- I wish the light had IR capabilities so it could tell the difference between my cat and a person so I could use the motion detection. Otherwise its just always on so unfortunately I cannot use this feature I was excited about.- The light switch that Haiku sells does not offer the same capabilities that competitors like Nubryte and the upcoming Brilliant Switch do. I asked Haiku and Nubryte about potential integration and was told not at this time.Ultimately I'm dissapointed that I have walked down a path where I have to decide in the future between all the exciting multi-purpose features of some of the upcoming light switches and the lights themselves and can see myself having to remove all the Haiku lights as they are offering no indication of working with these other companies in their roadmap.This also dissapoints me about the fans, ultimately if I can't integrate other light switches with their fans or lights they do not have a long term place in my home.They are great if you don't have pets, find a good way to communicate to children and guests never to touch light switches and don't have a need for some of the other exciting new connected home devices coming as multi-functional light switch replacements.I am dissapointed but I still give 3 stars as it does everything advertised, I just did not adequately consider the elements that were not advertised.

I bought the $149 one, dont buy this one. Opt for the higher one. I had to have the $149 replaced, because it was not a white light. It was more like a soft or warm light. I like a daylight. I will be buying more for my house. The app works great. You can set it to come on at a certain time, like 530 am so everyone will get up.

Worth every penny in my opinion. The light is very solid, well made, and looks great when installed. Big Ass thoughtfully designed this fixture and provides a few ways to make the install easier including letting you replace an existing recessed light without tearing the ceiling down.My favorite thing so far as been the ability to control the color temperature of the light. These are installed in two different parts of the house with two very different colors of wall paint and flooring and the ability to match the light to compliment the color was great.

Spent $400 for 2 of these. The installation was the easiest light I’ve ever installed in my life. Kudos to them. They are decent looking lights maybe a bit too retro for our decor but not bad. What doesn’t or hasn’t worked for me is setting the smarter lighting. I set the preferred light and I believe I’m doing it right and then the next day it’s pitch black in the house and the lights don’t come on. It’s kind of frustrating and without that working, they are just really expensive lights. I’d like to get the fan but won’t until this problem is fixed. So if the company reads this, feel free to get in touch with me.

Can be programmed to different brightnesses and tones and love that it turns on when you enter room and off when you exit. Set it up to Alexa and we can tell Alexa to turn it off and on.

Bought a pair for a hallway. Mostly they turn on together but sometimes they come on individually, either way the sensors never fail. The setup is very easy and so is the install.

A word of caution, the base of the light does not fit in small fixture housing and you may need serious electrical and drywall work to make these fit in older home.

It’s ugly. Works as designed but not attractive. Very utilitarian. For the price, they should hire a designer to create more attractive products.
