This is a very good item very easy to use and very easy to read after 10 seconds, they send a small card with it giving all the ratings which is a great idea, it tells you what the ratings is and it is coloured coded starting from too low till too high which runs along the bottom, the pen/lancer is very easy to load and the reader is easy to load as well but the only thing I would say there is when pushing a strip into the reader listen carefully for a bleep and watch the front of the reader as the green and red light should come on too for a few seconds if you have done it right but listen carefully as the bleep could be louder, I got mine and I love the I got on to it basically got onto straight, I would really recommend this item 100%.

I was recently diagnosed as being pre-diabetic. The GP said that I would have another blood test in a year. I thought that was too long and wanted to monitor things at home. I looked into glucose monitoring watches and all the evidence suggested that they do not work. When I investigated monitors, this had really good review. It is extremely well presented in its own case. Everything you need is included. I can’t stand finger pricks but I must admit with the one included it was simple, quick and pain free. Sometimes the reading does not come through so you have to wiggle the test strip around. I am really pleased with the price, quality and accuracy not to mention that it is so easy to use.

This unit is incredibly easy to use and the batteries last months (depending on use I guess) The test strips are easy to insert into the unit and the lancets are easy to change over. The contents of the box can all be stored in the supplied carry case.

Good for daily use , sugar levels monitoring

An excellent product that does exactly what it is for, keeping diabetics aware of th ER ur blood sugar level.

I got this because the one I had was costing a fortune in test strips, plus I had to order them on line because the chemist only sells the meter and lancets. Anyway, I am very happy with it. There is a very useful chart included which helps with working out just how high the sugar levels are. My pancreas sustained damage during a E.R.C.P which caused chronic pancreatitis and has resulted in me developing type 3c diabetes, it's not 'full blown' yet, so my levels are all over the place, at the moment diet is being used to try to control it, but that is becoming more difficult as more damage is caused. As a result I do use a larger number of test strips and lancets than the majority of people. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because the lancet thing is a bit fiddly to sort out. Maybe its because I am so used to the other one, but no problem because I can still use my old one until the lancets are used up. In the meantime I will practice with the new one. I would happily recommend this unit. UPDATE... I have now sorted the lancet thing out, if this is the first monitor you buy, I doubt that anyone would have a problem - my problem was simply because I was used to a flat surface where the lancet comes out. This is slightly curved which led to me not positioning it properly - all my fault and nothing to do with the equipment- so updated to 5 stars.
