Buy the Xbox One version. This requires another purchase. Fffffff
Not telling me I need a bluetooth adapter in order to use this on the PC when the entire bundle is BASED ON A PC PLATFORM is nonsense. I was stoked to bring some friends over on a friday night to check this out and when we tried to set it up, it was clear there was no way it was going to happen. I either get to box up my stuff again and send it back on monday or i get taxed another 10 dollars for bad communication.Amazon: fix your product page.Harmonix: Make sure your resellers communicate this information better. Sorry about panning you, I love you.Shoppers: bump that, buy the xbox version on account of it having a non bluetooth dongle you already have in your house.Me: Read the reviews you bozo. I could be rocking right now.=(

plug in your wifi/bt antennas!
Yes it needs BT but how many people have a Rift+touch and no BT?!I had some trouble getting my guitar to pair. It took me a good part of a day to get it working, but in the end it was my own fault. I hadn't installed the wifi/bt antenna on my mobo because I never intended to use the wifi and I didn't have any problems pairing my keyboard and trackpad so never thought I needed it. After I plugged in the antenna it was smooth sailing. The guitar must have a very short range or a weak signal?BTW, my guitar came with the download code as well as the touch controller adapter thing (Rock Band VR Connector).

Not working in Windows 10? Here's how to remedy.
This is anything BUT an out-of-the-box solution. Thus, some steps are needed to get this to work properly. It took me 2 hours of frustration, and I hope to spare you from it.IMPORTANT! The game: it's in the guitar box...on a slip of paper...on a code for the Oculus Store. Don't throw it out by accident and/or scrounge around the shipping box looking for something else. Note that Harmonix made zero effort - other than this slip - to distinguish this from the regular PS4 guitar packaging. You're not crazy; they're just lazy. How to Rock:1. You need a Bluetooth adapter for your PC (if it's not built in). I've got the Plugable one.2. This adapter must be in line of sight for the guitar or it will NOT work properly. (As in epic fail, crashes, distortions, danger Will Robinson.) Do not plug this into the back of your computer. Use a hub, if you have one, or a front port.3. Add the guitar as a Bluetooth item under Control Panel/Bluetooth. It should auto detect, press the PS button for the win. Wait for the sync to finish (it takes some time). If you're having issues, re-plug the adapter in (if applicable), start the process again.4. Update the firmware for the Guitar via Bluetooth. Harmonix has instructions for this on their Web site.5. Attach the controller holder to the back of the guitar. Line up the dots with the holes on it, gently press down. It may fall off, but it goes back on easily.6. Put the RIGHT touch controller in the holder, tether the wrist cord around it. This makes no sense for a righty guitar player...as the left touch controller would be logical (based on location). But, they didn't ask me for an opinion.7. Adjust the guitar strap for fit. Ensure the guitar is still in the line of sight for the sensors.8. At this stage, you're OK to start the game. Note you'll probably have to do some fancy headgear work with the left touch controller...now in your free RIGHT hand...to get into the game, then put it down. Massive design flaw there.Once in, Rock Band VR is pretty darn cool: wonderful job in capturing the atmosphere on being on stage. Personally, I prefer Guitar Hero over Rock Band for the challenge factor. The new chord system in Rock Band VR definitely levels the playing field while providing something different. It also works up a bit of a sweat in pounding through faced paced songs!Tech wise: It's a bit buggy, and screams for a patch. Graphics are also slightly blurry, which can be an issue for a game so reliant on hitting designated color combos. Is it worth the hassle of the above? Depends. If you have the controller already, most definitely. Otherwise, note you're in for a little trial and error. But it's definitely unique, and one of the more engaging VR experiences, period. I'm thrilled they made this.

Incomplete product due to lack of bluetooth adapter
As someone else has noted after I had ordered this product, it does no come with a bluetooth adapter and therefore doesn't work unless your computer is bluetooth ready. As a majority of VR builds right now are high end computers a great deal of us have motherboards which do not have Bluetooth installed and it's far from clear that it is a requirement on this product page.

Rock isn't rock without rock
Overall this was really good. the only thing truly missing to make it an immersive experience was blow. piles and piles of blow... How on Earth is a Rock Band simulator missing this crucial element of the game? After shredding a sweet lick, I need to rip a fat rail off the back of a passed out groupie. Oculus, get your act together.

Decent game that introduces the right amount of change for an old game.
Warning: I bought the PlayStation version of the guitar and it required bluetooth. Luckily I had an adapter, but since the Oculus comes with an Xbox adapter, I'd recommend getting the Xbox version. The RockBand VR set is another great addition to one's VR library. It has all of the things you want from a solo experience: a nice progression, varying difficulties so you don't get bored, and finally some nice music to go along with it. Throughout my experience I found that the game offered some mechanics which really push the immersion to the next level. Fans look at you when you're playing and don't feel entirely like robots, which provides a nice change of scenery and involvement I didn't expect. All of the details like how they have you look at the drummer to start, or banging your head to keep your boost going really keeps you in the moment (although sometimes having doubt yourself since you might look a little silly for any outside observers).Regardless the new playing mechanics is solid. The chord system provides a lot of personality which I didn't expect. You can make songs sound different by changing the pace or changing the chords. It doesn't get boring either since your focus is pretty much kept with not messing up.That being said, the difference between Rockstar and Virtuoso difficulties is pretty high. In one you're casually making your own music in a song and in the other you're panicking since your two bars aren't filling up. Also the scoreboard doesn't reflect properly since I managed to get #2 in the world on a set just because I did the easier difficulty, which definitely shouldn't be the case. All in all, it's a great game. The creativity to use the controller on the guitar is a nice touch, and I'll be recommending this to anyone else in the future.
