Good Night Wisconsin (Good Night Our World)

An Ideal Kids' Book to Learn about America's Dairyland!
We were introduced to the Good Night Our World series over four years ago, before our twins were born, and we've accumulated several of the books in the series since then. We live in Wisconsin but have relatives all over the US so we've received some of these books from other states and I love having them for our kids so they know about where we've visited and where some of their relatives live. My sister lives out in the Pacific Northwest and I wanted to get this book for her baby shower so our nephew knows where we are from and what a great state it is!If you familiar with any of the books in the Good Night Our World series, they all follow a similar storyline where the story starts in the morning and ends at night. Good Night Wisconsin also starts in the springtime and ends in the winter so you get to read about activities throughout all of the seasons. Each page has one or two sentences describing some of the main things that happen in Wisconsin and the pictures are cute and nicely drawn. Having lived in the Badger State for almost three decades, I can say that everything shown in this book is accurate and gives kids a good idea of Wisconsin (don't worry, there is nothing mentioned about beer!). The book measures 6 inches by 6 inches by 1/2 inches and is a durable board book. We've had our copy for about four years and it's still in good shape. When my sister received her copy of the book at her shower, she laughed and was excited! It seems like a lot of baby showers nowadays are using books instead of cards so if you are looking for a good book for a baby shower, this is a good option. It would also make a great gift for a child who has family in Wisconsin, is planning to visit, or lives here. My twins are four and still enjoy looking at this book. We have several books in this series and have enjoyed every one of them and I highly recommend them!

Simple, but Nice
I found this to be a very good book to introduce my three year old to some of the special things about Wisconsin. It's very simple - saying good morning, good afternoon, and good night to various places, people, and events in Wisconsin - with simple but pleasant illustrations. It's far from my favorite kids' book, but my son likes it, I like it, and we both learned a little bit about the state through it.

Great way to tell Wisconsin parents they're going to be grandparents
We bought this board book as a way of letting our family in Wisconsin know that they were going to get new "titles" in a few months. The book was the perfect way to share this great news because it was cute, useful, and covered a good swath of Wisconsin through its picture and story. Highly recommended for anyone who is from Wisconsin, has visited Wisconsin, has kids, or is going to have kids! Both adults and kids will like the pictures and the simple story.

Cute
Stock but cute. The company picked out nice things about our state and the illustrations are sweet. A good addition to the series. Plan to gift it a grandchild.

Another great volume in this wonderful series.
Ordered this for our grandgirl in Wisconsin because the Oregon version of this series, which we own, is so delightful. It did not disappoint!

Great book!
We love these books and can't say enough good things about them! We are collecting all 50 states for my 1 year old daughter. She loves th photos and I hope it will familiarize her with each of them as she gets older.

Adorable.
Great for a new baby in Wisconsin or as a gift for a kid who lives in another state from someone from Wisconsin. My Wisconsin-born friend who now lives in North Carolina was very appreciative to receive this for her first born.
