Fit my need. I run a shallow point well off a pump in the house. I winterize this home yearly, so the check valve is in the house, but it was installed with a few feet of pipe above it to the pump. I installed this a few inches over the check valve and put on a standard outdoor faucet on it. Now I will be able to drain the pipe complete above the check valve without separating any pipes.
