Haggard Grip-Tight Locking Elastic Lace No Tie Shoelaces System for Shoes and Boots, Reflective!

These laces are very convenient, and a time-saver. I have always hated having to tie shoes. With these laces, shoes are easy to slip on & off without having to take time to tie/untie. If necessary, they can be adjusted quickly. I am not a runner, but they could easily be tightened if one desired to run.

No one paid me for this review. The locking mechanism either does not work or is very difficult to figure out. I have spent an hour on it with no luck. You would think there would be instruction or something on their website. There is not. Suspicious - maybe because it does not work.If Haggard is listening add something to your website to tell folks how to use the locking device. Then I will retract this awful review.

So my wife has to wear running shoes as her everyday shoes - she has some medical issues with her feet and also needs to wear specially made orthotics in her shoes to assist with these issues. That said - she goes through a pair of shoes about every 3-6 months because of the wear on the shoes from her orthotics. That said - the shoelaces are a pain in the butt! She would prefer to slip on her shoes, and often times does even with normal shoe laces (it is as hard as it sounds for her and the shoes - but whatever).Anyway, now that I was able to find these grip-tight laces with locks on them, she no longer needs to tie her shoes. She can now get her shoes on and off within a few seconds and can just "slip" into them, rather than having to do a "dance" and wiggle into them every time we go somewhere. Also, these laces are stretchy and still adjustable even after she has "locked" them in place, so there is always room to be more comfortable depending on how her feet feel that day. The one thing that I would say is a negative was that there were no instructions for these - but just looking at the pictures on the product listing , i was able to figure out how they are supposed to be installed. I will be buying more of these so that i can put them into my shoes, and also my kids' shoes.I have to add that I received this item at a discount or for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion in the form of a product review. These are great! I have a child with special needs. She has challengs with fine motor skills, and tying her shoes is not something she is willing or able to do right now. Which leaves me with the option of being the 1 to tie her shoes every day, buy her velcro shoes, or buy slip-on shoes.When my daughter was little it was easy to find alternatives that did not require laces. As she has gotten older this has become more of a challenge. Most slip on shoes do not stay on well when she is being rough. Velcro shoes in womens sizes are generally not flattering. I do not want my child to stand out from her peers anymore than she already does. So finding shoes that are age appropriate is my goal.These laces work great! I just replaced a pair of standard laces with these elastic ones. The elastic keeps the shoes snug on her feet. She is able to put these on and take them off by herself which is great. It provides her with a level of independence which is great. And it makes it easy for her caregivers.These would be great for a person with special needs, small children, or just about anybody that wants a snug fitting shoe with the ease of elastic. I would imagine that these would work great for runners or anybody that does not want to bother with shoe laces that tend to come untied. These are great! They really are a life saver for us. My child with autism has trouble tying his shoes and it always takes him a really long time with regular laces. He is very aware of this issue and is embarrassed when he is in a situation that requires show tying in front of his friends. It is also a hassle to get him out the door and onto a school bus when it takes up to 5 minutes per shoe for him to get his laces done. He’s in middle school now and the bus comes very early so that extra 10 minutes without shoe tying is a life saver. He’s involved in sports and these laces are great for that. He likes wearing his basketball shoes with these laces to practice and the other kids think they are really cool. For us it was a little difficult to get the length right to trim the laces so they wouldn’t hang to far, but still have enough room to loosen them up to get a foot in and out. After he tightens up the laces we just have him tuck the hanging part under the bottom of the threaded laces so it isn’t bouncing around. I think these would be great for any age, whether someone is too young or unable to tie their shoes or if you just want a time saver, these are a great option.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.
