For years now, I've resisted the suggestion, as, frankly, it just seemed silly to me. But I finally gave in, and am now a believer. The naturally soft silk doesn't crease, stays smooth, feels pleasant to sleep on. It does work! Every woman should have one or two.These pillowcases are machine washable in the delicate cycle in cold water. They should be air dried, or may be machine dried on very low heat. Cool iron, no bleach. And, hint hint, wink, nod, they also make nice gifts. I've given several to friends, who have appreciated them.

I really love this pillowcase! It is roomy and long. Is is a traditional pillowcase without any type of closure. The silk is so very smooth against my skin, (I sleep on my side), much better feeling than many silk pillowcases I've had over my lifetime. It is thin, but don't let that stop you from trying this pillowcase...it has better quality silkiness and smoother, as well as delightfully cool every night! It feels amazing!

Bought these last year (Christmas 2012) and both my husband and I love these! We just wash and dry them with our sheets which is not gentle and they have not pulled or torn. If you move around much at night, they do slide up the pillow so that would be my only negative, but I would buy these again in a heartbeat. We may do that so we have a second pair to use one the one set is being washed.When I do need to use cotton again, it is awful! To think I used to sleep on that every night, I find that very funny. I also noticed that I must sweat a little with the cotton, which I notice my hair is not nearly as 'fresh' the next morning with the cotton. I can actually skip a hair wash when using my silk pillowcase.

My wife is the love of my life. We have been married over 30 years. She says that she sleeps better with it and appreciated the thought as well as the gift.As far as bedding goes, the Empress Silk Charmeuse pillowcase is more expensive than a good cotton pillow case, but is not much more expensive than flowers we purchase every week or a good bottle of red wine and is much less than a special dinner out. You are worth it! This gift will last a long time. It will not dry up or be consumed if you follow the cleaning instructions.It is easy to clean. This is my favorite silk pillow case. I use silk sheets, blankets and pillows. I buy these particular pillow cases even if I purchase a silk set with its own pillow cases. These just seem to be more silky and satiny than even the most expensive ones.

These are nice pillow cases but the color is deceiving. I had to return it, wrong color.

Ordered ones like these years ago and have been looking for this brand and so happy I found it and for so much less, bought some for my daughters too! Wonderful to sleep on! Helps hair not be messy in the morning!

Lovely silk pillowcase...may be a bit thin as I buy silk pillowcases regularly...
