Q: How do you purge the charging hose of air?

I unscrew the charging hose slightly at the manifold gauge set until freon comes out,then tighten

Q: Can this lichamp master #402 be used to charge r410a refrigerant which low side pressure is about 120psi, and high side less than 450psi?

The low gauge for psi is -30 to 260 The high gauge for psi is -30 to 550 There is no listing on the gauge for r410a but if you have the right connectors I assume you should be able to use the psi ring on the gauge to do r410a. Not really familiar that I use it for automotive purposes. Hope this helps.
