Glad I took the chance to go with this key. Works perfectly. Giving it four stars because it did not come with instructions. Thanks to YouTube, I figured out the RFID piece.Note:- After cutting the key, you must take the RFID chip out of the old key and glue into this key. There is a little slot to glue it into. Do NOT attempt to start car before else security shutdown will occur- There is a right way to put the spring back in. One end of spring points inward (key side), the other end points outward (cover side)- put load on the spring by rotating cover side before screwing shut. I rotated twice. First I rotated the wrong way so the load had the key switching to closed position. Rotated the other way, so the key switches out/open correctly.- once screwed shut, I used a box cutter blade to gently lift the logo/sticker out out the old key and added it to new key.Hope this helps.

All in all this has been a good purchase, I did have an issue finding a place to cut the key (my local dealership does cut 3rd party keys anymore). Additionally when close the key wobbled a little bit but a old debit card cut to fit at the hinge resolved this without causing any issues. Only other edit that needed to be made was the area where the fob went, there was still some connector material left preventing the fob from sitting properly.There are all relatively minor and again am overall happy with the purchase and cant stop flipping my key open and closed now.

Some filing may be needed to the cam for the spring to fully extend the button while the key is in its locked position. Otherwise even a slight jostling of the key fob will cause it to deploy.

This key worked perfectly for my 06 Honda Ridgeline although the item came damaged the spring (for the key flipper)was bent and the chrome where the key ring attaches to was chipped and scratched but this will only end up happing of time anyway.... item feels a little flimsily but for $10I'd say its worth it..I used the Honda sticker on the back of my original key and it fit perfectoverall I'm happy

Great case overall. However, before purchasing I would recommend looking into your keys and checking the placement of the transponder. Let me know if you have any questions about this or want to know more.

I had purchased one before and got the keys cut. I went to three car specialty locksmith until I talked to one who was able to answer my problem. The FOB case is located to far from the ignition. I still like the aesthetics of it that's why I keep purchasing it. But if you're planning to use it, it will not work!

Arrived as promised. Swapped insides with working key fob. Had key cut at lock smith ($20.00) and all working. The transmitter piece had a dedicated space and it all went in easily. The plastic feels cheep though. But for the price it is what it is.
