Nekogahara: Stray Cat Samurai 2

Storyline & Characters Improve
This is a good comic and a good sequel to the first volume. It adds more to the good writing found in the first volume, but it keeps the confusing art style. In this manga, we follow the main character on his journey and learn more about how he came to be the way he is.We also come across a change that is starting to happen in one of the previous characters. It's an evolution of a character's personality that makes him more likable, which is strange because originally I didn't like this character. His humor really starts to grow on you.I'm a fan of the enemies-turned-friends trope. The art style is still confusing because fight scenes are drawn in such a way that you don't really know what's going on. Hiroyuki Takei probably did that to make the fights feel grittier, but it doesn't do the series justice. He should have stuck with a better art style like the one he did for Shaman King. One big issue I have with this manga is the main character, a male cat, tries to rape a female kunoichi after beating her in a fight. Yes, she did use a substitution jutsu like in Naruto (meaning she substituted her body for a log and disappeared), and yes, the main character was high on catnip, but the implication is still there. I think this part should have been cut out. It doesn't make the character more likable, and there are people who think it's okay to rape senseless people. Kids and adults should know that this is wrong, and this type of behavior shouldn't be glorified in manga.

Beware the Red Samurai
The art improves a bit and story gets better as we start to see the plot develops as Nekochiyo has to fight his enemies naked.
