Turkish Delight Finger Cymbals/Zills/Zils

Saroyan Mastercrafts make some of the best finger cymbals there are and that is exactly what is being offered here along with their  Nefertiti Finger Cymbals/Zills  and  Brass Arabesque Zills/Finger Cymbals  (not to mention the  Brass Arabesque II Zills/Finger Cymbals  for professionals). If you want to know how any of their cymbals sound when used you can go to Saroyan's own website and listen to the MP3's they have there; they are found on their "Finger Cymbals for Students & Advanced Dancers" page (or the "Finger Cymbals for Advanced & Professional Dancers"). I purchased mine from Amazon instead of going directly through Saroyan Mastercrafts because I had other purchases to make on Amazon for other bellydance products and it was more convenient to have everything shipped all together.I am interested in eventually purchasing the Brass Arabesque zills as I love their deeper tone but I went with the Turkish Delight instead since they, like the Nefertiti, are rated for beginners to intermediate and the Arabesque are for intermediate to advanced students. I am also interested in learning Turkish style dance which influenced my final decision between the two. There is a difference between the Turkish and the Arabic style zills. The Turkish style is more bell like and will continue ringing for a longer period. The tone on these is lovely but you may want to invest in zill muffs for practice since the constant ringing can be overwhelming during practice. It carries really well and people will hear it in other rooms and possibly even outside of your home, especially if you live in an apartment and have thinner walls. Your family will thank you.I highly recommend this product for anyone who is serious about learning a new percussion instrument or is looking to replace a lower quality zill they already have. These are quality instruments and you won't be disappointed.

I love the sound of these. They are very solid and not cheap. I'm only giving it 4 stars because you have to install the elastic bands yourself. This entails a little sewing, so this might be problematic for some. But the cymbals are lovely.

These are not only really pretty to look out but the sound was just right. I suggest actually going to Saroyan mastercrafts website first before ordering from Amazon. They allow you to hear the sound each pair makes so you can buy the one that is you. I didn't like they was you purchase things through there website though lucky for me Amazon could get the same thing for me.

These zils are gorgeous, not only in sound but in size. I have trouble finding zils that work - they always seem to be too big for my hands. These are just right, so much better than the cheap clank that you get with an inferior product. Anything Saroyan will be gorgeous of course but these are by far my favorite.

This is my first set of zills. I was taking a class and thought I could quietly use them. HA! They sound so pretty and really sing out. They are beautiful. I like how the different sets sound different from each other. I love them!!!

The elastic that comes with these is perfectly sized and they chime beautifully. I like how they are lighter weight than my first cheap pair.

I was looking for a good quality set of zills that I could use for a long time. These are awesome, well-made, and have a clear crisp ring with a med-high pitch. Exactly what I wanted! I would higly recommend these!

they are really good starter zills, however, the sound quality could have been a bit clearer, better quality. But, good beginner zills to get the skill down.
