If you are tired of fighting with jammed ratchet straps, tangled bungee cords, or trying to remember how to tie a proper knot, do yourself a favor and get the Tie Boss 1/4-Inch Medium Duty Tie Down. It is hands-down one of the most reliable and brilliantly designed pieces of utility gear I’ve ever used.

Tie Boss are awesome. Saves me a lot of time securing my recumbent trike in the pickup bed. From three old double hook tie downs to one. It's a third hand if needed too. Finding new uses for it all the time. Will probably order as gift for friends and at lease one more for me. The smaller one is fine (Blue). Bought a larger one, sure I will find a use for orange one too.

It's a unique product in that you can raise and lower from the ground. Some things to note. I tested it with my hobie outback (about 40lbs per end) and it works but takes considerable force to pull it. Normally a double or triple wrap around the hand to grip the rope (1/4" version). For this reason my wife cannot raise the boat. The 15' rope is just long enough to work in my garage. The tail end is about 6.5' off the ground when the boat is hooked up on the floor. I would need to replace the rope to put a pully underneath. I also tried a few of my accessory coords in it. My 5mm had to much streach work well. My 6mm coord worked good and was a little easier to pull than the included coord. The included coord seems to be a nylon outer with a braided inner. It holds it shape well and bits good in the cleat. The cleat itself is made out of nylon or some type of plastic so I'm not sure how it will hold up over time. That said for what they are they are a bit expensive. I wish there was a way to buy un bulk or order the rope in longer lengths.

Just purchased and haven't had a chance to put it to actual use but out of the box simple to set up and a quick test run in the house looks like it's going to be an easy effective and strong way to tie things off in the bed of our new truck. Bonus it doesn't take up a lot of room

This is a very good tool to have. It's easy to use, trouble free and very safe ... it's a lfe saver.

It is ok but not for what they advertise it for. I wanted to use it to secure ladders in the garage to the rafters but it was cumbersome and difficult to hoist in the air. Once in place you could not latch the ropes because you cannot get the rope under the latch from a distance. It might work well to strap something down in a truck bed or where you can get to the device to lock the rope but for what they advertised, it is worthless. I will be returning the two that I got.

Works as advertized, easier to use than lever release systems.

I bought 2 of them to hang 2 large (12') ladders to hang sideways closer to the ceiling in my warehouse. Very pricey but they work! They hold well, but it just seems the hooks can slip off during elevation or dropping them down. I think that hooks should be carabiners instead.

so many uses and great quality ! Now going to buy a few more stronger ones for camping as so much potential

Function as it should. Quality seems good. May be a bit overprice, time will tell.
