Thinklux LED Filament G16.5 Bulb, 4.5 Watt, 40 Watt Equal, 2700K, Globe, Dimmable, E12 Base (Pack of 6)

I bought 3 boxes of 6 to replace all the bulbs on my vanity mirror in the master bath. I disliked all the heat that came off those lights. These bulbs are slightly bigger than the G16.5 standard bulbs they are replacing...the glass part is maybe 2mm larger in diameter. They work just fine with the dimmer, which was installed in my bath 16 years ago, so I didn't have to put in a special one for these LED bulbs. I'm not a fan of the big yellow filaments that are very visible in these clear bulbs, but maybe that's necessary. But all the lights work and they are very bright....so I'm glad they are on a dimmer. I used these 40 Watt "equivalents" to replace 25 Watt incandescent bulbs because I read some reviews that mentioned these weren't as bright as the 25 Watt bulbs they were replacing. For my application, these bulbs are much brighter and whiter than the 25 Watt bulbs they are replacing and so now I keep the dimmer switch turned way down. I LOVE that the master bath stays so much cooler with these bulbs!

This was the size I needed for a wall sconce. I was glad to find them. They are rated as a replacement for a 40 watt bulb but not as bright in my opinion. I had to use 4 of them, which is supposed to be the same as 160 watts, in a very small bathroom.

I have a large chandelier with 18 bulbs. I replaced 40W incandescent lights with these LEDs and am very happy - they give out at least as much light at full power and way more in a dimmed mode (I turned the chandelier lights on when there were a mixture of LEDs and incandescent). I'm now well below 100W total instead of over 700W! Also, they work quite well on my old-style dimmer (a toggle switch dimmer), which is not true of all dimmable LEDs. The only minor change I would make is that I prefer a slighter warmer (more yellow) light, although these are NOT blue. Also note that all LEDs stay the same color as you dim them, unlike an incandescent which get more and more yellow.

Do not buy. Supposed to be a long life LED? One bulb has already burned out, with very light usage. Lasted just five months.

I was skeptical about these bulbs at first, mostly because I've never heard of the brand. I've always had a thing for vintage but I'm also all about energy conservation and saving the environment so these bulbs fit the bill... and our ceiling fans! So far, I haven't had any problems after about a month of use, but I don't expect any. The bulbs look and feel very well made.

These bulbs give off a bright, white light. I have them in two ceiling lights in a hallway and they provide good lighting. I had purchased other bulbs, but the shade on the light fixture would not fit. These were the perfect size; the shade fits without any problem. Make sure you check the size of the bulbs for your particular use. We are slowly changing to all LED lights and so far we have been very pleased.

I had 3 of 12 lamps out on the main chandelier, but since they are hard to change I swapped all 12 out. VERY bright and the correct color temperature. The LED "filament" makes these lights look great. I plan on a steady change out of bulbs as they burn out. I will update this posting in a year or so based on their sustained brightness and durability.
