Hunter 21827 Builder Amber Light Bowl, with New Bronze and Antique Brass Cap and Finials

Great product that installed on my Hunter Original fan in about 10 minutes.Best price I found for a quality light kit. Also, it can be installed using only the center post, so it's likely to be universally accepted on most ceiling fans. The warning that it is only for the Architect Series seems incorrect.Overall, it looks like it belongs with the fan and greatly improved the looks of the room.The only negative, the amber color is far lighter than the picture would make it appear. You will get mostly white light from this with slight softening of the harsh whites one gets from CFLs.I would recommend this product.

Missing the cap above the bowl, bowl is absolutely clear in the package I received, it does not look Amber at all. I purchased this item Open Box and so take this with a grain of salt even though it was purchased from Amazon, perhaps someone replaced their clear one with the Amber and returned the Clear one in its place. Happy with it though, good price and looks alright being clear.

The pull chain switch on my Hunter ceiling fan broke. It wouldn't turn the lights off and on anymore. It was IMPOSSIBLE to replace just the switch (thanks a lot, Hunter!) so I had to buy a new light kit. After removing the old light kit, it was simple to install the new one. I kept my old glass bowl-style shade and put the one included with the kit in storage, just in case. Simple to install with minimal tools and minimal effort. Looks just like new and works even better than the old one! They even included two 60 watt Compact Fluorescent bulbs! I'd definitely buy this again and would recommend it to anyone looking to replace a bowl-style light kit on a Hunter ceiling fan.

Not happy with the purchase. ASKED before purchasing and the seller responded that the size was 14.5" on the glass. It measures under 12" They obviously didn't check the actual product but just threw out an answer.Sadly, part of the big problem these days with inaccurate descriptions and incorrect answers even when we ask before buying. Most frustrating.

We replaced a broken ceiling fan bowl on our Hampton Bay fan. Worked great! I agree with other reviewers that it really isn't as amber-colored as you would expect, but it is still very nice. Arrived securely packaged with two colors of finials to choose from. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Globe not easy to install. Broke original that came with fan. Two chain are fed through hole that allow light and fan to be turned on. Difficult to thread through hole when on ladder and holding globe. Chains difficult to pull once threaded.

Light globe was good quality and shipped complete and timely. Unfortunately, all arbor sizes are not standard, and beware...this one has a larger than standard arbor hole. I was able to cannibalize parts from the light kit (included, but I did not need) to retrofit to the old light fixture etc. Took some engineering, but got it done. Summary: If you are ordering the globe and it is an exact replacement for yours, it is perfect, otherwise be prepared to do a little handy work.
