If your dog pulls you around the block - try this leash and actually ENJOY walking your dog!! only wish I had found this sooner!
we have had our beloved dog Bella for three years - she is 85 pounds lab mix - she has a very sweet temperament but - trying to walk her from day one (we adopted her from a shelter when she was 10 months old) has been a challenge to say the least. i would say i have average strength for a 45 year old mom - but - we live about a block away from a park where i regularly walk her - or i should say - she would walk me! lol there are plenty of rabbits and squirrels that she wanted to chase - not to mention runners, other dogs, and even occasionally she would try to take off after a passing truck - every day, either morning walk, or evening walk - i would have rope burns or cuts on my hands from wrapping her rope leash around my hands trying to hold onto her if i would see something coming up - and God help me the times I didnt! after 2 years - and ignoring friends who kept telling me to get one of those spiked choke collars (I just couldnt do it - they look so medieval to me!) i ran into someone at a "Dog Daze" event at a Bass Pro shop - who had this product on his dog - i found out about it by my apologizing to the poor man over and over with my Bella jumping on him in excitement and wagging her tail and trying to run around his ankles and his dog - he laughed and said he didnt mind that his own dog used to be the same way til he bought this leash. With nothing to lose except the pain in my hands and arms - I purchased this - and it is THE BEST purchase I have ever made - inexpensive and COMPLETELY effective!! I actually ENJOY walking her now - she isn't pulling with her whole body weight and half choking herself during the whole walk and she actually just walks at a regular pace next to me! Yes - there have been two or three times in the past 3 weeks that i have had this where she forgets and darts for a squirrel or rabbit - but she stops HERSELF - no more pain in my hands, no arms pulled painfully - I could not be more happy with my purchase and thank GOD i ran into that nice man that day - I would recommend this product to ANYONE who is having a hard time walking their enthusiastic fur-baby - only wish I had found this sooner!!

My 90 pound German Shepherd took the thunder out of Thunderleash!
Last November I bought a ThunderLeash for my large German Shepherd. It broke on February 25th, 2017 and did not last for three months. Though the product is good to control dogs it is NOT tested well for large dogs. My dog is a very strong GSD with lot of pulling power. Other day I was walking him and he saw a rabbit. He got charged with his hunting wolf instincts and jumped forcefully that broke the ThunderLeash clip. I don't know whether manufacturer offers a warranty to replace the product. When I bought the ThunderLeash it worked very well and I was happy. I would have given 5 stars for the product. But since it broke in less than 3 months I am giving them 2 stars. I hope the manufacturer will consider a warranty period and send a replacement. In short, ThunderLeash is a good design but it FAILED strength test against my 90 pound German Shepherd.Update -- 3/7/17 Last week Thunderleash sent me replacement. I didn't expect it. I am impressed with their customer service. Changing rating to 5 stars.

Here, Hold my bone.....
I bought this on a recommendation of a friend who has a lab. It was a miracle for her dog. Sadly, for my big guy, it was a big, fat joke. 80 lb Golden doodle. I could have attached a sled to him..Yes, we watched the video and made sure we had the harness set up and on him as it should be. Adjustments made no difference. I was seriously afraid he was going to break his ribs or collapse his trachea. We'll go back to using his harness (easy walk) which I would give an 8 for preventing pulling. Sadly, I can only give this a 1. I'm really bummed because I thought it was gonna be the answer to enjoying walks without being pulled down the sidewalk. His sister loose leash walks like a champ. Best of luck to you if you decide to try. Looks like many have experienced success and I know someone personally who did.

Very disappointed in this product
Very disappointed in this product. Hugely over priced the hardware is not even stainless steel. For $30 I at least expected rust proof hardware. I posting a picture of one I made myself out of a horse lead rope.

Design Needs Improvements
The concept is simple and the leash is easy to put on once adjusted (the key here is doing it correctly. Follow the instructions in the package. I've seen many YouTube videos where people had the buckles adjusted all wrong and then claimed it didn't work). It seemed to make a slight difference in my dog's walking, she wasn't trying to pull as much because there wasn't any pressure on her chest. However, when she wanted to pull it didn't deter her. If she wanted something she went for it. Here are the two biggest negatives for me: I still see pressure on her neck from her collar with this leash (the leash clasp has too much spring, needs to be stiffer. I don't trust that it's secure). Yes, it's less than connecting directly to the collar but I don't like any pressure around her neck at all. Second, the leash is not comfortable for the handler. Yes, the loop at the end is padded which is a nice touch but who holds a leash by the handle alone? Often two hands are needed, one on the body of the leash. It's a thinner material with no grip for placing the hand for extra leverage like many companies are doing with leashes these days. So, when I need to gain good control, it causes hand discomfort. I would not be able to use this on a long walk for this reason. Still not sure if I'm going to keep this one or not but if you have a mild puller, give it a try. Just read the directions carefully.

Haven’t been dragged down the block in weeks!
Ladies and Gents, if your dog is a nut like mine, buy this leash! My dog is a one year old 48 pound labradoodle I love my dog like one of my kids but truth be told he’s a hard headed crazy dog when I walk him, I live in Florida and his only mission in life when I walk out the front door to walk him is LIZARDS!! Hunting and chasing them is what he lives for! to say I have been dragged out of my flip flops more then once is an understatement, the very first time I put this leash on him it was a COMPLETE game changer, walking is now soooooo much more normal and my shoes have stayed on for every walk since!!! I have only had the leash for a few weeks and it’s working out GREAT for us, I highly recommend this purchase I know it’s a little pricy but for us it has been worth every cent!

a big let down
very disappointed. Seen adverts for this but alas its not helped my dog at all. I found the metal part nipped in her fur and made her uncomfortable. She pulled more using this. The lead was good quality but the leash on the whole was sadly a waste of money for me :( Might work for others but not for me

Works for my beagle.
At last an anti-pull lead that works. Easy to change from non-pull to normal lead which is great for my beagle who only pulls at certain times. Well made.

She still pulls like a train
I was hoping for a miracle but made no difference at all with my GSD. She still pulls like a train. Yet to try the thundershirt bought at the same time for the same reason, but given the hot weather of late, don't think it's fair to make her wear it. Disappointed but glad it seems to have worked for others.

It doesn't work on spaniels. Expensive for the finish
The dog pulled stronger than ever. The loop on the lead smooth trying to hold the lead and wrapping it round your hand it feels very sharp and cutting. So it's back to the Halti which works.
