It works great.

If you own a tractor, trailer, or other piece of equipment with zirc fittings, you know how convenient they can be for applying grease. However, you also know they break occasionally. When they do break, they can be difficult to remove without damaging the threads. This tool simplifies zirc filling removal and also makes installation simple. Buy this and thank me later.

Can certainly get by w/o this, but it's sometimes helpful. I use it to clean the zerk hole. Make sure you turn it in the direction that pulls muck out, and be careful to not damage the threads on a deep tunnel. It's nice to have the thread cleaner. Though it works for both the 5/16" and the 3/8" hex, the tool is often to short to break them loose or torque them down fully.

This is not a fancy tool that makes the Top 10 Tools in the World chart. It does however work wonders for those that deal with grease fittings still. It's simple a must have if things go wrong with a grease fitting or part that uses one. Threads easily, extracts broken pieces in a flash and makes installing and tightening simple as heck. Lincoln sells good quality tools and the price is good for that level of quality!

I'm not a fan of twelve point sockets, and of course this one stripped just enough to not grab the zerk fitting and break them loose/tighten them. I haven't used the easy out or threader on it yet. Also haven't used the half socket. Great tool, maybe should build from another material though.

This thing is indispensable save yourself some time and frustration removing broken or plugged grease fittings. Some fittings are hard to get to and this tool can get in places you can’t fit a wrench.

Extracted my broken grease fitting. Make sure you have clearance on your motor to get at the fitting with this type of tool. I had to angle mine for the specific fitting. It still worked but it was a bit of s challenge.
