A game changer for leaks & irritation.
I very rarely write a review but I wanted to just share how truly helpful this is. For months, I struggled with my CPAP - the leaking of the mask, the fit of the mask, the skin irritation from the mask, on & on. This gel has made such a massive difference, & if you struggle with any of these issues, I strongly recommend trying this. I use a nasal pillow mask, & I slather this all over it tbh - only a big dab, tho, that will do. Then put the mask on as usual. I've noticed that I'm actually able to have it fit a little looser, too, around the sides of my head & is more comfortable as a result. My data shows better results with leaking, and better results with events - it is just more effective. And I don't get pimples or other irritation on my skin from the mask any longer. It has made such a difference. Just one other suggestion, get the CPAP wipes & be sure to thoroughly wipe them off every morning. You may also have a little residue on your skin, like it'll be dried. Just wash your face with a gentle face cleanser, and it comes right off. Good luck!

Non irritating
It's a thin gel, no petroleum, no smell and goes on easily. It doesn't irritate or cause my skin to break out. It has made a small difference in helping my mask, but I am waiting for a new mask which should fit better.

Not useful for PAP pressure 9 or higher
Doesn’t work if PAP pressures are 9 cm H2O or higher. The pressure just blows the gel off. Otherwise, the gel is soothing and comfortable, and I found it helpful when I wanted to position the mask because it slides on the thin layer of gel. The gel will not fix a mask that isn’t fit properly.

Worse than nothing at all - for me, at least.
It is just a gel that dries leaving practically no residue. Without it, air leaks around my nasal pillow, probably because I have outrageously large nostrils. With it, same thing, but in trains of bubbles that are noisier and that tickle me furiously. Once it dries completely, it may actually help a little, but no better than a thin layer of dried Betadine would. I needed something akin to plumber's putty or silicone sealant, with body to it that could ask as a gasket all night. I did not get that. I also had difficulty positioning my nasal pillow and headgear with wet CPAP gel, as it would wipe off on my forehead, an eyebrow or my nose while I was busy wrestling the straps into place. Had I known what the product was and how it was expected to work, I would not have invested the purchase price. I use a nasal pillow, I toss and turn a lot, I have the aforementioned giant nostrils, and my CPAP operates at level 12. If your CPAP is lower pressure and your facial features are all human-sized, it may work for you, but then, why would you need it?

Amazingly effective, request different container
When I first tried this it really wasn't effective at all in stopping the mask leak, but I later discovered I was using it wrong. I was applying it to my face then putting my mask on. No, it has to be applied directly to the mask where you have the leakage, then put the mask to your face as usual, careful not to wipe it off in the process, which is easier than you think. Just hold the mask in place on your face then do the straps. Then once you're mask is situated and secured, this stuff will kind of dry, forming a very effective seal between the mask and your face.If you need to take your mask off for a restroom trip or something, you'll need to re apply the sealant before putting it back on.This doesn't leave a weird residue on your face and doesn't get sticky. No scent to it. Just better sleep not having to contend with air leakage. One request I have of the manufacturer, though, is to please put it in a tub with a screw top lid instead of the tube. Typically we are putting our masks on in the dark or in low light situations and it's difficult to tell just how much of the product is coming out of the tube onto our finger as you can't really feel it. The stuff is pretty light weight. Too much, too little? With a tub it's way easy easier to tell how much we have. And the screw top lid is easier to close than a snap on lid. I ended up transferring the product from the tube into such a container and it's so much easier to use.
