Cutlery Perfection
I have 14 years military experience and 45 years hunting. I purchased this knife for my son going into the Army Airborne. Combat arms troops want a knife that does not snag on gear, one that is secure, sturdy and can do it all. This knife has my endorsement for perfection. The short serrated section is excellent for cutting through a hank of 550 or a strap. The blade is the ideal length for field carry and will not significantly add to load out weight but is still large enough to get ANY serious job done. This is not a knife for Rambo amateurs but is perfect for military professionals who need a do-all companion to their folder. The sheath is among the best. If I could only own or sell one knife- this is it. Individuals with exceptionally large hands may find the grip a tad small...all average size men and women will feel like the knife was made for them. I endorse very few things but this has it. Oh and its American made and not PRC Chinese.

Excellent companion
Well made knife. Light to carry - and the smaller size of this knife is brilliant. This is NOT for someone who has large hands, more for those who have a smaller grip on things. I live in CA. and there are limits to the size of the blade, which this one meets the standards. I take this when prospecting, deep in the mountains. Can be attached to your backpack - or just strapped to your belt. So light, you'll forget you're carrying it. One con; the sheath that came with the knife was not a hard sheath - it was a cheap leather one. I separately purchased the shorter version of the Kydex Sheath (hard sheath) and it fit perfectly. Ka-bar is a wonderful product.

American Classic
This is the 2nd KA-BAR I’ve purchased. Is it the best knife ever? No! However it’s a time proven American classic. It’s durable and sharp right out of the box. Great for overlanding.

Excellent knife
K-bar makes a good, well balance knife that fits in the hand well. I do wish it had a way to attach a lanyard securely the pomel

Perfect for backpacking or concealed carry
I wanted a smaller knife I could put on a backpack strap or possibly conceal. This is the perfect knife for it, yes it has a small handle but I have big hands and it fits in my hand just fine. It comes pretty darn sharp out of the box and seems to be holding an edge just fine. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the pommel is pinned on and you can clearly see the stainless steel pin on mine, cosmetic yes but it doesnt hurt the function at all its a sturdy knife.

Great camping knife
Nice fit and finish on the knife. It was a little smaller than I anticipated but is a good size for camping and is not too bulky when worn on a belt. Someone with large hands my find the handle too small. The only small issue is there is a small piece of steel on the pommel that does not match the black finish of the knife. Sheath is nice and has two snap web straps to secure knife. The sheath also has built in plastic tabs that secure the knife by the hand guards... I thought they would make withdrawing the knife cumbersome but it slides easily from the sheath but keeps the knife secure when not in use. I would recommend this knife to anyone looking for utilitarian knife for general outdoor/camping use. Someone looking for a more tactical/fighting knife will probably want to move up to the original size.
