Fine for the Price. Could be Better.
Considering these cost 75 cents a piece, they're just fine. They work well enough, and the kids enjoyed them. There are some issues. 1) The balloons are small and thin. They don't hold much air, and they break easily. But they can be replaced with other standard balloons. 2) You can count on a couple units being defective. In our case, it was one of the two included balloons that had already ripped.A couple more things to know: * The overall design is pretty good. There's a collar that fits inside the balloon. That allows you to quickly re-inflate the balloon and then reinsert the collar into the rotor assembly. The wings are notched so they only one on one way. My five year old can easily reattach the wings correctly if they come loose. * These include a noise maker in them. I think it's integrated, and can't be removed without breaking the entire rotor assembly. * The wings are a lightweight semi-durable plastic. Nothing fancy, but they're more durable than balsa wood or cardboard. * The wings have edges that are somewhat sharp, so you need to supervise littler kids to ensure they don't them them graze their face.

Not propelled by the balloons
We got these as party favors for my son's birthday and ended up with a lot of extra. My son is obsessed with them. He wants them to do as intended, but they do not.The balloons are thin, but that does not seem to be an issue. We tried thicker ones and it did not make a difference in the performance, or lack thereof. The problem is that they just... fall. Yeah, they spin as they fall, but the information indicates that they are propelled by the balloon. Basically, drop them from as high up as possible with nothing they will bump on the way down (or the balloon will pop off.I'm going to throw them away rather than keep them for another party.

Design Flaws disallow use of product
I bought these for my science students. I am very glad I tested them at home. They absolutely do not work due to poor design. Even with adjustments made, I could not get them to work. I thought I might be able to turn them into hand flyers in a last ditch effort to salvage them for some usage, and I couldn't because the propellers fell off of their brackets. I do not recommend these for purchase, as they cannot even be salvaged for other uses.

They work well, some modifications needed
So, These work well if you: take a small piece of cling wrap and block the kazoo, and take a tine of a plastic fork and stick it in the top so that when it hits the ceiling it works like a top. These have hollow wings that let the air vent from the balloons. There are two balloons included with each pack. I inflated one at least 10 times with no real problems, I tried it with a large balloon that had been stretched out a bit... that didn't work, but I imagine that other balloons could work than what were included, good elasticity and small diameter and short neck should do the trick.

Fun Balloon Helicopter
Purchased a box of 12 Kids Balloon Helicopters as a party favor and activity for my sons's 5th birthday. We had purchased a different brand in the past at a local museum gift shop which was more than twice the cost and did not withstand more than a few rounds of play. These balloon helicopters purchased through Bravofun were the hit of the party. My husband noticed right off that they were superior quality to what we bought in the past. Parents and kids were asking me where to buy. We gave most of them away at the party so I likely will be re-ordering some for our own use. This is a fun and simple activity for kids of all ages.

Too many defective parts
The idea is great - and I bought these helicopters before and they worked great. This time I bought those "helicopters" for a party. Roughly 30-35% of the blades were defective. Most helicopters could not fly. Using parts from various kits, we could make six (out of 12) flying helicopters. I was eventually able to make the other ones fly by filing some of the plastic off the defective ones, but it spoiled the party a bit.

Great as a Classroom Science Lab
We loved playing with these in our science classroom! They are a lot of fun and super easy to use! On the not so good side, after a few launches, the propellers get a little dinged up and the balloons pop pretty easily. Be sure to buy an extra bag of balloons!

Yikes!
The first thing that I purchased at Amazon that I absolutely hated. I was disappointed for wasting my money on something this bad. The concept is so simple that I would have been better off improvising at home.
