advertised correctly after all (see review)
At first blush, I thought I got the wrong sized socket. But no, it is correct. The rubber coating needed some persuasion to screw in the bulb I wanted to use. No big deal to me. It might be a problem for people with pencil thin arms and no strength.

Does the job I guess
Not really impressed... kinda cheap material. You get what u pay for. Jury is still out. Might just want to install new lighting mounts in the unit itself. Not to tough.

This worked great for the conversion from the smaller female to the next larger female. A little snug, but if you bend the center post (hot) upward a little in the original base, it allows the tip of this one to touch for contact. PS: Make sure the unit is unplugged B4 doing this!

Garbage
It doesn,t screw in far enough to make contact and it's very hard to screw the bulb into it. In other words it's your typical Chinese gargage being peddled on Amazon so save your money!

Functional for my application with a slight modification (I am not recommending that you make this modification)!!!!!!!
Product will enable a fixture with an E12 base to accept a bulb with an E17 base. Unfortunately, the rubber coating on the outside of the adapter socket makes the adapter socket too wide to fit into a standard electric candlestick. I'm not recommend that you do this, but the way I resolved this problem was to remove the lower 1/8 of an inch of the rubber coating from the outside of the adapter socket. This slight modification allowed the e12 base on the adapter socket to make contact with the bottom of the electric candle socket. Prior to making this modification the e12 base was not long enough to make contact with the bottom of the candle socket.

Can be covered with a Candelabra base cover.
Worked very well for the project I had. The design allowed me to use a candelabra base and cover for my application. The cover fit in a way that it slid down over the adaptor concealing it. The flared lip in the end of the adaptor prevented the cover from sliding off.

light adapter conversion
Searched locally for these adapters but to no avail. Ordered online and received the items within 3 days. The work great and appear to be well made.

Beware. Homemade Junk.
I'll start off by saying that a E12 to E17 adapter is very hard to find. Unfortunately I had two issues with these, one at each end of the adapter. The E17 socket is short, so bulbs screwed in leave a portion of the "live" base exposed. The other issue is that these are constructed by soldering a E17 socket to a E12 base and wrapped it with heat shrink tubing, but the base won't screw in far enough unless some of the tubing is cut away. For a safer, commercially made solution I used 2 adapters E12 to E26, and E26 to E17.
