One-Punch Man, Vol. 11 (11)

Both story and art on this title continue to be awesome. I was going to say that since its beginning, One-Punch Man has become more of an ensemble book, but that term falls short in describing this latest issue. Volume 11 features more than fifty named or recurring characters. Metal Bat and Garo both get more pages than title character Saitama. The action cuts back and forth between numerous scenes and situations, and things are heating up: evidently there's a Monster Association in counterpoint to the Hero Association, and it's planning some sort of imminent "main event"; the Hero Association has a mysterious hidden master controller; monsters are popping up all over in such numbers the available heroes are not really adequate to deal with them; most inconveniently at this time of crisis, Garo continues his hobby of "hero hunting"; and Saitama, One-Punch Man, is distracted by the martial arts tournament he's entered under a false identity.The monsters this time out include a whole roster of colorful newcomers including Centichoro, a huge -- I mean REALLY blocks-long rampaging huge -- centipede monster, and Martial Gorilla, who makes me think of Castro -- I guess it's the beret and cigar. And of the many monsters featured this time, only one dies in the main storyline -- Silverfang polishes off Demon Pugilist so quickly I almost overlooked it -- so we're going to see these guys again...I've gotten in the habit of pre-ordering the next volume of OPM when the current book arrives, and I see that #12 is due out in ... wait, September? Seriously? SIX MONTHS?!? How am I supposed to survive the suspense!?

The star of volume 11 of One Punch Man is definitely Metal Bat. With a large portion of it about him and he is great. Metal Bat is unapologetically a punk, which is done very well with both comedic effect and high level action as he crosses path with Garo. The other thing of importance is the introduction to the Monster Association which while their goal is unclear one thing is for sure, they want to put the Hero Association out of business. The designs of new hero's and monsters are very entertaining, with a personal favorite being a gorilla like monster that reminds me a lot of Solid Snake from Metal Gear. Overall the artwork for the action in this volume is some of the most fluid and beautiful for past couple of volumes. As with other volumes of One Punch Man fights can get a bit graphic.

This is one of my all time favorite manga/anime titles. I love that this series pokes fun at other manga in the same genre. I've finished the anime and am on book 5 of the manga and so far the story lines are spot on. Every volume leaves me laughing my butt off and eagerly awaiting time to read the next.

The media could not be loaded.  One punch man is such a joyful manga and I love reading every volume of it my one downside about this purchase is that the volume was a little bit damaged but not too much work I would need to purchase a new volume but besides that amazing purchase.

Once again, One Punch Man leaves me with a smile, a clenched fist, and a burning desire to punch something really hard. ONE is a genius storyteller and Yusuke Murata's art never stops impressing me, as every page is as full-detail as the last. We get to see some Metal Bat action in this volume (he quickly became a favorite of mine!) and Saitama is entered into a martial arts tournament in disguise. This arc should be fulfilling and hilarious. If you own the previous 10, you know what kind of enjoyment you are in for.

I love the extra chapters that show the goofy adventures of the characters. Saitama's nonchalant and take-it-as-it-comes attiude is life goals

You need to read all of the Manga volumes if you like the show. So funny, so cool, so much more story and detail, the character developement is much more extensive. Plus I get to look smart reading a book(though its like watching a movie that I never want to end)
