I bought this because this reminded my moms cleaning 60 years ago this thing is handy live the cotton swab very efficient wont scrub rust like nylon bristles but very good at getting in places nylon cannot

Just what I needed

This brush felt flimsier than a similar brush I had in the past. It is very nice because it doesn’t splatter, but it is difficult to dry. In fact, mine molded and that is why I quit using it. If you buy this brush it is important to prop it up to dry so air can circulate around it. Drying it after use is a bit of a chore.

It is lighter than the plastic ones. Its easy to use and reaches places that the others don’t.

Summary: Superior cleaning compared to a bristle brush and no problem keeping the densely tufted head mildew-freeDetails: I had been searching for a bristle brush with a denser bristle pattern (for better cleaning), but the designs are pretty much the same - heads with loosely packed, stiff bristles (just how crusty do folks let their toilets get?). Then, I saw this product and knew that the densely tufted, soft head would be much more thorough at cleaning. However, I wondered how I would keep it from harboring mildew amongst those fine fibers. Well, after nearly a year's usage, as expected, this swab head cleans under the rim and deep into the exit tube far better than any bristle brush I've used. Better still, there is no sign of mildew, discoloration, or odor in the head. I follow this procedure for caring for the swab: After cleaning with it, I let it rest horizontally over the toilet by pinning the handle between the toilet rim and seat. I squirt toilet cleaner (Biokleen Bac-Out) above the swab head so that it soaks down and through. After a few hours, the head is dry enough for a couple of taps before I store it horizontally with its head at the mouth of an upright, re-purposed yogurt container next to the toilet to dry further. After a couple of days, it is fully dry so I stick the swab in the container in an upright position.
