The irrepressible William Hung returns with Miracles: Hung in the Sun, a collection of classic American summer songs sung from the heart. William's quirky personality and lovable demeanor captured the hearts of music fans worldwide as the most memorable, rejected American idol contestant. Koch. 2005.

Hung Off Key and Right On!
William Hung is no singer. For those of you that have watched American Idol, you know that already. That said, Hung's vocal stylizing can only make you laugh! (It should also make you feel good in knowing that there is someone in the world that sings A LOT worse than you.) It is a fun disc all in all. "I Left My Heart in San Fansisco" made me cry--with laughter. And "Take Me Out to the Ballgame?" Hung never sings one note right, but it's a hit!

Endless Summer
I love the positivity and more importantly the singing voice of William Hung! I wish he would release some more cover albums, but last I heard he has entered into a civil service job and left stardom behind. His covers of Richard Marx, Billy Ray Cyrus and Randy Newman are better than the originals.

A great treat.
William's English makes this a treat. He still stretches for some of the notes. Overall this is a great album. Your children will love it. Buy ten copies and make William rich.

Another classic
Another Hung classic - his singing is worse, but the album is great! My least favorite of his three albums, but still well worth the $15.

Bought it for a gag gift for my daughter
Speak Engrish to me!!! William Hung butchers the English language. This CD my daughter asked for when she was about 6 years old. It was $15 at the time & I promised to buy it for her when it was on clearance. Well 12 years later I found it for $5 and kept my promise. Speak Engrish to me!!!

As inspired and satisfying as Clay Aiken's TRIED AND TRUE set
I was rather tickled with Hung's first album, along the inspirational lines and just dreadful delivery of Mrs. Miller, especially "I Believe I Can Fly" and "Hotel California." Sure, the guy was a goofball, a pure outsider music voice, but his art, his delivery, was sincere, which made it beautiful, much like Wing Han Tsang's eccentric albums--he reached, he didn't make it, but he reached. Unlike the just awful karaoke clones that showcase the outright JOKE that American Idol is (the style of music pushed at AI seems to be based on annointing the next Russell Hitchcock, Manilow, or in Adam Lambert's case, Culture Club--it's a time warp to 1985 Top-40 easy listening), William Hung has something to say, even if his star will likely be brief. This album, alas, is a bit of a disappointment to me. He's had coaching; the instrumental backing is professional, safe. The songs seem more suited to him, his, er, vocal range, that there's less "stretch" needed (where he gloriously fails) to deliver on his vocal. He doesn't need to reach here. This album is, like Clay Aiken's third tier castoff, safe, comfortable, disappointing. The song selection doesn't do Hung's style justice. Soaring Disney pop, Manilow and Air Supply songs with operatic modulation, "The Impossible Dream (the Quest)," "My Way," "MacArthur's Park," "Love Story," a big sound, his inspiration, his triumph. Having something to say matters, even if you don't quite get there.

I am a Hung man!
What can I say except that this CD is one for the ages! Just save this one for when you've got the top down on a hot summer day, at the beach. It just puts you in an indescribable summer mood! Just crank up his amazing version of "Surfin' USA", and heads will definitely turn your way, with smiles from ear to ear! Brian Wilson must be proud! His smooth, melodious crooning will bring tears to your eyes...trust me! Mr. Hung has a knack for making a song his own, and makes it barely recognizable in the process. I was considering putting some Sinatra into the CD player on Valentine's Day, but I think this one will achieve the magic mood, with all due respect to 'Ol Blue Eyes. A definite Desert Island Classic! What else can I say about this one...hmmm...oh yes, if you actually take this review seriously, you're probably the same kind of person who also takes this CD seriously and pans it! Giving it 1 star because he can't sing? Come on!! It's a novelty CD which isn't supposed to be taken seriously! And for those of you resentful that someone who "sings" like this makes money off of it, lighten up!! There's just something about his cracked crooning, goofy looks, and his aparent eagerness to make an arse of himself that's so appealing to so many ears! So get used to it -- not everything is supposed to be listened to in a serious way, and if you think this CD sucks because the sound of his voice could peel the paint off a wall, you're just not getting it!! Hey, maybe "Hung Sings Nat 'King' Cole" isn't too far behind? If so, I'm sure it's friggin' hilarious, too!

Oh William You Funny Little Dude
Once again we are blessed with William's one real talent.Himself.Even though this is a summer themed album there is some odd choices of songs.Such as Billy Ray Cyrus's hit "Achy Breaky Heart".You get a cover of Richard Marx's "Right Here Waiting" which i think William puts some emotion in it. A hoot of a song is his version of "Tie A Yellow Ribbon".The arrangement and music is kinda cheesy compared to the first album. But hey this is William Hung.I thought he would be a one album novelty act but somebody is buying his cds besides me.So Koch Records must know something to make another album with him.REMEMBER people this is not quality singing. Its one little Asian dude chasing his dreams of singing and got lucky just being himself.Which charmed and entertained America. It's for fun....thats it.Enjoy!
