Good throttle. Works well until it does not. Better cable to casing end would really help.
Bought on of these last year. Froze up before the summer. To be fair machine was covered, but outside. Bought a second one to try again. This time I'll grease the cable and gorilla tape the open end so moisture / condensation can't go down the cable to lock it up. There should be an end on the cable / casing with a rubber end to stop this. Although I gave it a 5 star review I would recommend they manufacture it this way to stop the moisture infiltration.

Quality Looks Good
I put this on a neighbor's Toro Commercial mower that he uses in his lawn care business. The Toro OEM part was very expensive, I bought this because of the reasonable price and the Oregon name. I matched up the specs from Toro and Oregon and this cable was a couple of inches longer and would probably fit. The only reason I gave 3 stars for durability was because the knob wouldn't come off for the installation and when you tightened the mounting clamp on the carburetor end of the cable, the cable wouldn't slide/operate, The protective black covering on the cable is a softer plastic and will deform and bind the cable when tightened enough to hold it in place. I got around the problems quickly and it works good so far. A very good value for the money and seem well made.

Bolts right on to Craftsman rear tine Tiller
This worked great for my tiller. The little knob at the top splits in half and allows you to bolt it right on to the tiller throttle slot. You may need to use a heat gun to soften the plastic to pull off the top half but it shouldn't break or give you too much trouble. Once then knob is off, it readily bolts using the same holes on the tiller and put the bottom half of the knob on then press the top half back on and then snap the bottom half to it. I didn't have any luck in pulling the throttle wire out so when shortening it, I used a pair of wire strippers to expose the spiral wrap of the cable housing where I wanted to trim the cable to. With the spiral metal exposed, I used a pair of flush cutters to snip the spiral without damaging the wire. I managed to break the tip of the flush cutters though so there's probably a better way to cut the steel spiral without much issue. Anyways with a small z bend tool, a new throttle control was functional and works well. Just remember to size everything with throttle on the engine at low and the throttle control at low.

Ease of movement now
Made controlling my ancient Snapper Comet 265X possible. Old one corroded and wire inside would not budge.

Good product
The product appears to be a good product. I debated on less than 5 stars because I had to remove the knob to install the lever in a dash panel on a Bolens HT20 and the knob was very difficult to remove. I was able to remove it but it cracked a small portion which I hopefully fixed with JB-Weld. I don't think that should hinder them from receiving 5 stars but I wish the product arrived with the knob removed because I assume a lot of users place this in a panel.

Very useful not just for the Oregon Mower
I am building an engine run stand and this should be ideal for that. The cable seems to be long enough and there is enough friction to lock the throttle in one place but still easy to give it a rev or two.
