The lids are sturdy enough that you can easily stack them. The pans have been both hand washed and machine washed with no trouble at all.

These pans are great! I do a lot of baking for my church, and prefer stainless steel, with a lid. I have ordered these pans multiple times because they limit your purchase to only 2 pans at a time.
