Fits 2007-18 Jeep Wrangler 4-Door only. The JKOBA Onboard Air System is a heavy-duty high volume air source to inflate tires at the end of a day of four wheeling, power air lockers, air tools and of course Klein Air Horns. The kit is 100% bolt-on using common hand tools and has everything needed for installation. The heavy-duty WATERPROOF air compressor and tank easily handle 37" tires and are protected by a steel cage with integral skid plate. The kit is upgradeable to a second compressor with mounting studs and air ports already installed (P/N JK6450); giving you the ability to air up two 37" tires at the same time.

The best On board air system available for your 4door JK
This thing is a small package that packs a huge punch. it takes a little longer than i expected to install, but well worth it in the end. Everything sealed up nicely and i have absolutely no leaks what so ever. Not mentioned in the description of this is that it comes with absolutely everything you need to install it. Wiring kit, Tubing, Plugs, Drain, pressure switch, Everything. only thing you really need is a switch if you want to be able to turn the compressor on or off. If not, Then it will come on and off with the ignition in the jeep, which is fine, as long as you don't have any leaks in you system the pressure switch should keep it off until you use it. I have the 2.8 gallon tank running a set of Hornblaster XL's on my 14 Rubicon. as well as a remote quick disconnect which was also included in this kit. the only thing i will say about this that was kinda disappointing is that the hose to run the remote air filter was not long enough to reach under the hood. They provided about 6 feet of hose and i needed about 10 to get to a decent location under the hood that would remain dry and free of debris. All in all i am extremely happy with this. It took my about 6 months with this in my Amazon Cart before i finally pulled the trigger to buy it. I did a ton of research but unfortunately this kit had no reviews on any site that i could find. there are other options out there to get an airtank on your 4 door JK but i will tell you the headaches this saves you on loacation and other issues it well worth the 680$ price i paid. That was with free shipping included. ShopEddies was who i purchased from and they had it on my doorstep in 2 days flat. A+ seller.Ill be sure to update as time goes on.

Some Assembly Required
Some Assembly RequiredGreat concept and excellent quality equipment (mostly). Worth the money. Highly Recommend this Compressor. That being said there are some Issues. The Bad:This unit does NOT come assembled as pictured. You will have to put it together under your Jeep.Do not try to pre-assemble more than what is in the instructions. I thought I could install the tank in the frame first, but then had to take it back apart to get all the bolts in.Unless you have access to a lift this install will take 6 or more hours. Even with a lift, plan on 4-6 hours. The wiring is mostly straight forward but the connectors that were supplied were junk. I upgraded all connectors to waterproof marine grade heat shrink type.Buy a bag of Zip-Ties, you will need a lot more than what comes with the kit.If you are not familiar with running plastic air lines, read up on it because it’s not properly covered in the instructions. Use a heat gun or hot sun (no flame) to get the plastic lines straightened out, and when making tight turns, and when pushing the line onto the nipple of the connectors. The Accessories that come with it are crap. I was able to salvage the air hose that was leaking at both ends where the hose is pushed onto the barb. The tire fill valve was full of metal shavings which destroyed the o-ring seals and brass plunger, rendering it useless. The Good:The Compressor and all the main components are Excellent quality.Everything fit together perfectly with no modifications required (rare these days).Having the whole unit tucked up under the Jeep, out of the way in, unused space is great. The mounting and skid plate are rock solid.I installed the Air connection under back bumper next to the hitch receiver where it is easily accessible, but partially protected by the receiver.Mine came with a pressure gauge along with a small switch. I plan to install the gauge in the trunk area at a later date. While an On/Off switch is not necessary, I set mine up through the EAS system on my Trail Dash II.Over all a great piece of gear which I highly recommend.I will be getting a set of Kleinn Air Horns (JK220) very soon.

Good system
Great system, took awhile to install and plumb. I also added the jk220. I didn’t run it to ignition instead hooking it up to my SPOD.Just be careful when tightening the brass fitting as I broke two from overtightening.I did upgrade all wiring to 16ga over the small purple and yellow provided. Instructions aren’t greatest though.

All day job, or maybe a professional install is in your future.
I like it BUT.... the connectors provided were cheap quality and had issues. The quick connect could only grab 1 thread through the bracket and snapped at the thread before being tighten. The tank fittings were slightly undersized and leaked so they had to be replaced with different ones. The bracket was powder coated without masking off the threaded studs. So, the nuts would not thread on with out being re-worked with a die. I ended up taking this to a local shop and spending $500 to have them install it for me after getting 3 hours into it and not even close to having it installed. I contacted Kleinn, but they were not responsive.

Rubicon Trail - Passed!!!
I wanted to provide an update on this device from a off-road perspective. I have the Onboard Air and the train horn to go along with it. I have had it for about 1 year and just recently took it on the Rubicon trail, Moab and Colorado trails. I did all 12 miles of the Rubicon trail and this has held up well. Right at the exit in the Rubicon trail I aired up and was on my way. I did the same thing in Moab after hells revenge and cliffhanger. Then came the Black Bear pass which was an easier trail compared to others and the pump would not shut off. I could hear the valve releasing the air and the pump just kept going. Overall I am happy with the purchase and believe my shop can repair whatever have done to it. I truly believed that this OBA would be left on the trail in pieces but was not the case. The Rubicon trail is rated 10 on the challenge scale and the fact that the skid plate held up was impressive. 2013 Jeep JK with 3.5 inch lift and 35 inch tires. Thanks
