It was solid, safe and after 5 hours of filming being moved around the train inside and outside it didn't move at all. Loved that we could position it in anyway at all. **Q: Is this the same as the smallrig 10 inch magic arm but this one comes with a shoe mount?**
A: Yes, it almost the same as magic arm kbum2732.Only the mount is different.

**Q: Can i adjust in it a rode nt-usb mic?**
A: it has a 1/4 inch male thread at both ends and a hot shoe mount that can be removed. I wouldn't know why you would want to buy this to mount a Rode USB mic on it. You would probably need to buy an adapter to attach to the mic so you can attach the magic arm to it. I'm not sure why you would want to use this over something else that would be better, unless you have a specific custom use, and thats the reason you need it.  If you are looking to use a clamp on a centre dual monitor pole to take the mic of your desk, don't, the clamp will extend to go on the pole, but you don't get enough bite for a secure mounting and it will slip down.

**Q: Presumably this arm can be rigged with a super clamp at each end (if I buy an extra super clamp). Is this correct?**
A: Yes. If you remove the cold shoe fitting from one end of the arm you have a ball head with a 1/4" screw which will attach to a super clamp at each end.

**Q: Would this hold a 10x42 binocular?**
A: If you had a thread on the binos.
It will take the weight. The clamps are awesome and exert quite a force, be careful what you put in the jaws. I use mine on a canon m6 m2 in a cage with other accessories.  Hope this helps.

This SmallRig magic arm and clamp combo is exceptionally well-made. The super clamp bites incredibly hard onto desks, poles, and monitor stands with zero slipping. The single locking wingnut tightens all three joints simultaneously, freezing the arm completely solid with absolutely no sagging or drifting. It feels premium, heavy-duty, and completely trustworthy for holding up expensive gear.
