Lisse Cosmetics Sun Kissed Hyaluronic Acid Tanning Lotion (16oz)

Okay, I am not typically a fan of sunless tanners. Every product that I have tried in the past has made me way too dark and it looks unnatural, along with turning my sheets orange! This product changed my opinion on sunless tanners! I had no leftover residue on my sheets. I wasn’t sure how strong the tanner was so I used a small amount the first time. I was able to achieve a light tan while looking natural. I will step it up next time and be a bit more liberal with my application. I did use gloves to apply but didn’t experience any streaks. Highly recommend!!

Ewww…Beware…this is nasty lotion! Do NOT Buy This! I applied this lotion to my legs and arms (fortunately not to my face) yesterday afternoon. I followed their recommendations by showering, using an exfoliation brush, and some of my wife’s exfoliant…then applied 1 application. I’m a 63 year old man, and I had some color already on my legs and arms. Basically, this lotion did little to add much more color to my skin, but (as the review photos show…pardon the lack of pedicure) it darkened every age spot and freckle where it was applied…and even worse, stained my toes and toenails (especially under the nail and around the quicks). It looks like I poured dirty motor oil on my feet! I’m returning this junk immediately…I’ve taken 2 showers and exfoliated again with little improvement…hopefully, it will fade in few days as the bottle claims!

I usually order the foam tanners because they are easy to apply. This is a lotion, but was still easy to use. The first thing I noticed was how thick it was. Not thin and runny like most lotions. I had to squeeze it out of the bottle!Instructions suggested using a glove to apply the lotion, and that is always a good idea. I have a thin mitt that I use to protect the palms of my hands from turning dark.I tested this out on my legs. Using a circular motion, I began at my feet and worked my way up. The lotion is lightweight and absorbs quickly. I didn't need to use a lot to get coverage. There is a scent, but it is light and not overpowering.I applied the lotion in the morning and by evening I could see some tan developing. The next morning, I had a dark tan. Darker than I was expecting. It was a deep bronze with red undertones. Too dark for me. I prefer lighter, golden shades, but for those who want this color, this is an easy to use self-tanner without a lot of work and no mess.

I have mixed feelings about this one.So I’ve used lots of self- tanning products in the past. Products like Neutrogena, Fake Bake, and Norvell are just some of the ones I tried. By now I have a good routine where I apply my products and they look like a natural tan the next day, looking pretty even all over the face and body.Now with Lisse Sun Kissed product I went from absolutely loving it to being frustrated on day 2,3. So it’s a thick white lotion that’s pretty hydrating, it doesn’t have a strong smell like most tanning products. In fact , it barely smells like anything at all (to me, at least). That’s a huge plus! It also feels good on skin and you don’t end up feeling sticky. I left it on over night and it didn’t leave any stains on my sheets either. I woke up and took a shower and I was pretty satisfied with the color that turned out.Here comes the frustrating part …I personally prefer tinted tanning lotions. This way you see exactly where you applied it and where are the spots you missed. I thought I applied it evenly everywhere . Well , wrong . I looked pretty ridiculous for the next 2-3 days . Also, the color kept developing over the next two days. I found myself getting more orangey in color even though I’ve only applied this product once and washed it off 8 hours later. On day 3 I’m patchy, some of the tan washed off and some is staying strong and deep colored . I tried scrubbing in the shower and it’s pretty stubborn and the color still doesn’t come off in many places.Overall I went from loving it on day one to looking silly and uneven on day 2 and later on. The color last 4 days total. This lotion has potential for sure, with how soft it made my skin feel and how the smell was so mild, it didn’t bother me at all like other products usually do.This product could be improved by making it “tinted “ so application is more precise. The lighter tan shade would also suit pale people better in my opinion as this one was too dark for me.

This is a really nice big bottle of tanning lotion!It is very thick. You can see it coming out of the top of the container in picture #2. That was a surprise.It goes on smoothly.It says to wear gloves. Wear them. I didn't wear them when I applied the lotion and you can see the result on my hands in the 3rd and 4th pictures. Picture #5 is a few days later and it is still pretty dark as you can see by the mark where my ring was. Now you know why gloves are recommended. You're welcome. LOLI put a heart sticker on my very white leg and applied some of the tanning lotion there first just to see if it would tan, how much it would tan and if it was even.The last picture shows the heart shape in the tan. I only did a portion of skin around the heart because it was a trial. I like the color and how it worked. It didn't over color my skin--just gave it a nice kiss which could be layered.One other thing that I didn't take a picture of, on my ankles and heels I am not sure if I didn't get that wiped on evenly and had too much there or if it just takes the color more, but they were pretty dark and a bit orange and the deep lines where the heel moves were white. It looked a bit odd. It did fade some after a few days so it wasn't so odd, but I will be more careful there in the future.It didn't do anything funny on the elbows and knees where I usually get some oranginess with other lotions.I used it on my arms, face, neck and chest, legs and tops of my feet. It gave me a nice little glow that does look natural. It just makes me feel good too!Overall, I really like this tanning lotion and it's a great value!This lotion states that it is packaged in MT, USA but does not give the location of manufacturing.

This product isn't overly scented and it absorbs into the skin nicely.I suggest you wear protective gloves.
