Island Shade Clamp-On Umbrella in Multi-Color Stripes

Nicely made of heavy canvas instead of thin nylon. Helps protect against sun and wind. Sturdy plastic clamp used to clamp to beach chair. Only drawback is that shaft is hollow and if using as a wind block can be bent easily in strong wind.

The Island Shade Clamp-On Umbrella was beautiful in color. The Clamp-On part of the umbrella was weak even though I was able to remove that part so I could clamp it on the chair, but, after bending it to adjust it, it would not stand up straight it kept falling over and I had to hold it up. It would be great if it had a better stronger handle and the whole clamp-on part was sturdier. Then I wouldn't have had to hold it two of the three days I needed it. The clamp-on part just did not meet my expectations.

Great umbrella. Wish it was a bit taller. Lot of compliments. Tell them I bought it at Amazon. Great deal! A must have item.

Great looking Umbrella & easy to use. It is great to have in the car for those times I need some shade where ever I go. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The wind caught the umbrella when I was not sitting in the lawn chair & it all tipped over. The spokes inside the umbrella bent very easily...... very very cheaply made. I was able to bend them back but who knows how long it will last before they just break. Oh well, I'll use it as long as it lasts.

I've experience a little concern in the clamping , which i tried on a metal surface, it kept slipping of, not cripping tightly. But for the reason i purchase it for , im not sure of the receptical i'll be attaching it to yet.

I purchased this for my aging Mom who likes to sit outside. She is able to attach it to the chair on her own and it's a perfect size for one person. Very portable and durable. Can't go wrong for the money.

The umbrella looks nice and provides adequate sun coverage. My only gripe is that the umbrella doesn't attach tight enough to my lounge chair to keep it from moving around. For the price, it was worth it.

As some have mentioned, this product is rather flimsy and of questionable value. It has an adjustable length of plastic (?) at the base which, while a good idea, will only tenuously hold the umbrella upright inside I can only imagine what a stiff breeze will do to it and after all it is usually used at the beach with ocean breezes... I was ready to return it but I am going to try and risk the $22. One suggestion, I found that a 3-4 inch length of 1/2 " plastic water pipe, slit lengthwise, and slipped over the skinny metal shaft will slide over the adjustable plastic piece and stiffen it a great deal. Headed to the ocean next week to test.
