Seekins Precision 0 MOA #6-40 Long Action Scope Base Screws Fits Remington 700

Excellent quality, no rocking movement on action when test fitting. I could not see any daylight using a flashlight with the base just resting on the action. I like the recoil lug. Weighs 2.25oz with screws. I think I received the screws for the 20 MOA version because the front screw has only one thread showing and barely grabs the receiver when tightening. Also, I have the 20 MOA version and the screws are the same length. The front contact plate on the 20 MOA version is thinner and the screw has around 3 threads showing. I'll be contacting Seekins to get a new set of screws (or to be possibly told that I do have the correct screw).My other complaint is the slotted screw holes with a flat base torx screw. I don't understand the need for slots, especially with flat base screws. The holes in the action line up dead center as should any respectable Remington 700 action. This just allows for the possibility of movement. A self-centering screw and slot may be a better design or just have round holes. The recoil lug would help with any forward movement, but only the torque of the screws are preventing it from shifting to the rear. Don't understand the thinking behind this other than to help with alignment for actions with bad screw hole placement.

Nice machining...fit my rem 700 perfect...looks great...would def recomend
