I take out 25 % water then add fresh water, then add the appropriate amount of melafix. It helps the fish adapt to the new water. Also helps heal any sores they might have. They seem to really like it. I also put in the appropriate amount of salt for them as well. Hope this helps. **Q: Is this safe for mystery snails?** A: The bottle does not say that it will hurt snails. It has warnings for other things.
