Another great volume. I'm so frustrated of not seeing any development in the main characters but I have faith that it will come. My book came damaged. The cover was folded and now has an ugly crease 😭.

Extremely wacky and entertaining "slice of life" adventures of a Mangaka who is still in high school. Chilly has a long running crush on Nozaki, but can not confess her feelings to him. Yet she assists him almost everyday with his manga work. Goofy as I said, but fun!

My digital copy of this book is clearly missing pages. It was missable in the beginning since it's a 4-koma but the arc later on is unintelligible and it aggravates me. I assumed it would get updated but it hasn't. This is the second book in a row with content issues that I have bought from Amazon and it is disappointing.2 stars because the book itself is still great. It's just poor execution.

I thought from the beginning that the author will eventually run out of ideas for jokes/situations for the main cast since there is only so much you can do with a setting like this, but I was wrong. It continually entertains and makes me laugh at how these characters interact with each other.

As usual, the main theme of the manga is Umetarou trying to find fresh new scenarios through his friends and the misunderstandings and hijinks that arise. First he is trying to write a horror scenario and instead, we get Kashima getting scared with Hori's ghost stories during a test of courage in the school. Later, Umetarou tries to join the basketball team as a manager (for inspiration of course), along with Yuzuki, and instead gets development material for his two side characters (which he likes in the manga but not in real life). Even so, unbeknownst to Umetarou, we see over at the publisher's office, Ken-san and his colleagues concluding that 'Let's Love' is too mainstream.Three minor characters get significant arcs in this - we get to meet Yuzuki's older brother Ryosuke (who happens to be Yukari's college friend) as he spies upon Yukari and Umetarou meeting at the cafe when he (Ryosuke) works. Thanks to an earlier misunderstanding, her friends think she is dating Umetarou and Ryosuke thinks so too, which is hilarious because he has a crush on her. Speaking of Yuzuki, we get to see another, more lady-like side of her when she is asked to pretend to be Mikorin's girlfriend to fend off one of his stubborn admirers. This change is hilarious because with the transformation, the boys in the school think she's a different girl. Wakamatsu recognizes her, though, but vastly prefers the 'Seo' version than the refined lady. Finally, Mayu's blog (which is handled by his friend and contains the 'moe' judo positions) gets a new fan in Mikorin, but they are both communicating to each other as girls, which is one hilarious catfish-gone-wrong storyline.By now, I have come to like the random nature of the chapters, adding little small stories, tiny comedic moments, a few callbacks to previous chapters or volumes, while also adding character development. It has been entertaining to read and I love each and every one of the characters, because together they are all such a hot mess of a misunderstanding.

A brilliant series, always cracks a smile and leaves sides aching from laughter. One of the best 4koma manga out there.Couldn't get this from my local bookstore for some reason, they were having trouble getting it in. So I turned to Amazon. Package arrived on the predicted date with no damage.

This is my favorite and so funny!!
