Complete Price Guide to Watches 2017 Paperback – March 7, 2017

I purchased this because it was recommended to me by a watch collector. It seems as though this is one of the bibles for collectors. A whole lot of information is packed within the covers. I am not a collector but had some items that belonged to my late husband and I had no idea (if I decided to sell them) what they were worth. Thus, I purchased this book which has helped a great deal. There are also many online sites with a plethora of information, also.

As a watch hobbyist the book is a must to have.

I've been collecting watches and clocks since the 1980s. This annually published book is the best, most comprehensive book on the subject. It is a reference book with an incredible amount of information on watches. Whether you are new to the hobby or an advanced collector, the book is extremely useful in identifying individual watches. You can quickly determine what manufacturer made the watch, when it was made, relative scarcity and general value based on condition. As a price guide, one must keep in mind that it is a guide and the actual marketplace determines prices.

I purchased this book for my father who is an avid collector of wrist and pocket watches. He has wanted more information on some of them including value. He has hardly put down Complete Price Guide to Watches No. 30 since I got it for him. He said it also includes information on repair places outside of our area. I had read the reviews before purchasing it and it helped me decide to buy it and it was a great choice. Very accurate pictures too.

Overall informative with some great watch history in it. Beware, half of the book is dedicated to pocket watches. Many brands missing in the wrist watch section (i.e. Hublot and others) Title is a bit misleading, definitely not a complete price guide. To be fair, that would be hard to do given how many watches are out there.Pictures are pretty terrible. Is it worth buying? Yes and no. I'll keep it as I like all the historic information in it.

I have been buying copies of the Pocket Watch price guide for over 35 years and have always enjoy the technical articles and up to date old manufacturer's watch production serial number listings ! Excellent reference book no collector or anyone new to the hobby should "not have" in their library !

Fast shipping. This is a fairly thorough guide with a variety of watch prices and it is extremely comprehensive. Many watch brands are included within its pages.
