Hard Velcro scratches skin and Does Not Work!
The wristband is made of hard Velcro straps. The hard velcro scratches your wrist as the band is a bit short for adult so a small section of Velcro will rub against your skin. This is not an issue for smaller hands or kids. I also have a parakito repellent wristband and it has much softer Velcro and does not scratch skin but more expensive so wanted to try this cheap brand... After trying it few times : it does not work, you can only smell it when you are couple inches from the repellent. We end up just spread insect repellent on it but again not comfortable on your wrist. Can’t return it and Will not buy this again.

I found it works for Me! :-)
I have been wearing these on each wrist and ankle whenever I go down to the river or am working outside in the evening. Let's just say, I am one of those people that the insects LOVE to nibble on...I'm told I have sweet blood LOL These seem to deter them. I'd say 95-98% of them don't land on me or at least don't stay for very long. I also place around my shade tent, in strategic places, the "Natural Mosquito Repellent Wristband Refills" (ordered from Amazon) that keeps 98% of them out of my shade tent. Before going in the water I will hang two-of these wrist Repellent bracelets on each corner on top of my shade tent and attach the other two to my chair until I have dried off. After reading the reviews I realized it would be a hit or miss. I'm VERY glad it was a 'Hit' with me :-) I do recommend them to others. I'd say after reading the reviews these WILL work for 80% of the peoples, including little ole' me.I won't get them wet though, they will lose their potency and not really work as well. At my home and river the main beasts are: Black flies, Deer Flies, Horse Flies, Gnats (LOTS OF THEM) and some mosquitoes. I'm sure there are more...And it really SUCKS having ANY of them biting on me! I use a firm brush from the dollar store to keep the Velcro clean.

Kept my boys bite free!
Bought these for a recent trip to Mexico, looking for an easy way to keep the buggers away from my boys. I didn't want to have to spray on bug repellant on top of sunblock...too much of a hassle. These bands worked like a charm! I had my boys each wear 2 bands at a time (1 on the wrist, 1 on the opposite ankle) for full coverage. Happy to say the boys were bug-bite free the whole trip. I loved that the boys could put on the bands themselves. It's awesome that 1 pellet lasted the whole trip (5 days), so I have plenty to re-use the bands this summer.Bonus: Our hotel room had a plunge pool on the balcony that my boys loved to play in. Placing these bands around the little pool kept the bugs away!

Got 4 bites within 5 minutes
I put four bands on, one on each appendage, went to stand in my mosquito infested yard, and immediately got 4 bites right next to one of the bands on my arm. I have to say, I AM a mosquito magnet, so maybe this might work for people that don't attract them by the millions, but for me they were useless. Returning

Works great! Will be buying more colors.
So far, so good! I haven't been bitten once but I typically double up on these as I think most adults or taller/bigger people should. If I wear shorts, I wear one on my wrist and one on the opposite ankle or if I am wearing long pants, I'll wear one on each wrist. That seems to keep mosquitos away much better than wearing only one.I hate the feel and smell of bug spray so I'm always looking for more comfortable methods of keep mosquitos away. These seem to be holding up just fine and they fit the different brand of citronella inserts fairly well. The mesh part that holds the insert could be wider, it is a bit of a struggle to fit the insert in and I'm sure the strain isn't good for the band. But overall, I'm happy with the product and the price!*PLEASE keep in mind, that the effectiveness of the insert diminishes over time. As soon as you are done wearing them, you should always keep them stored in a resealable bag and out of sunlight and heat to make them last longer. You can't leave them out for several days, then put them back on and expect them to work just as well as when they were first taken out of the wrapper. As long as you are storing them properly and changing them out when you should, they work great!

No Luck!
Doesn't help me. For some reason me and my dad are viciously targeted by mosquitos while others are only slightly annoyed. Therefore I have tried it all. This did not help and I wore 2 (with sprays on.) Try for yourself... I read somewhere once that the only thing that truly works is the spray. I find this to be true, though I am a fan of mosquito burning coils combined with spray. Off Deep Woods seems to work best for me and to be my only hope. Must apply sprays liberally. Then there is always my bug zapping tennis racket for revenge!

I like these. The band is comfortable
So far, I like these. The band is comfortable. It can fit around my ankle (at the very end of the velcro, but it fits and won't pop off). We have not had a need to test the repellant aspect out yet (not until June will we need to), so I can't comment on that yet.

Save your money!
This product was a waste of money!I used this for the first time today for 3 hours, walking with my dog. I put one on my wrist and attached one to my dog's harness. Within the first hour, my legs were getting chewed up by mosquitoes. I ended up taking the second one off the dog and putting it around my ankle. I also got several bites on my neck and face.UPDATE: I have tried these on 4 or 5 different occasions. I only used 2 the first time but increased it to 3 for the next couple of outings and then 4 today - one on each wrist and ankle. THEY ARE STILL WORTHLESS!!
