## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can anyone tell me what diameter wire shelving will fit into the "scoop"? I have older ClosetMaid shelving the the sizes changed.**
A: I used them on wire/metal shelving that was about 1/4" in diameter and they worked great. There was even a little room or slop in between so that I could slide the shelves a bit to my desired location. I think they could handle something slightly thicker easily...

**Q: Do you have to take shelves down to install as reinforcement?**
A: these are metal cli8ps not plastic so they hold up, i screwed mine to the studs so all i had to do is to snap the clips over the shelf and screw both screws in, they make your shelves incredibly strong and i screw extra supports into the studs also.  i have had the plastic ones fail over the years, i think the plastic gets brittle after 15 or 20 years, a couple of shelves have detached from the wall, these have solved that problem.

**Q: Are the clips 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch wide?**
A: mine are 1/4.

**Q: What is the dimension between the holes?**
A: The dimension can be variable based on the load you will be applying. You can trim the shelf for different widths as well.
