CatitGo Natural! Pea Litter, Vanilla Scent, 14 L

The last few years have forced our household to change litters for our two older cats. A daunting and thankless undertaking. Well, this is a winner. Although I mix it 50/50 with the catit wood pellets. Combined, it works, it is good at eliminating odours, and most importantly BOTH of my cats will actually use it. Hallelujah! Only thing is I wish it wasnt scented. The scent is faint though, not enough to deter the cats like a lot of the perfumed litters, especially when diluted with the unscented wood pellets.They both preferred a particular brand of superfine clumping clay litter for years. However, recent years there were a number of formula changes - not so great - and WORSE - quality control issues that caused the cats distress and to refuse a couple of times and go outside the box. Unacceptable for the very high cost of that litter. Time to switch brands. We've tried everything now, from paper, to grass seed, to clays, to this pea husk and wood pulps and grain remnants. You name it. It is very challenging to find a litter that BOTH of my cats will use.This catit peahusk litter is in REALLY fine pellets. Superfine, like tiny vermicelli noodle crumbles. Very important for my picky old kitties with their tiny soft toes that have no callouses. They never go outside, they never step on hard things. Some of the pellet litters we tried are just too sharp or too big, and they hate the texture. They wont use big pellets or sharp litter.I love the convenience of the packaging for two vacuum sealed packets inside each box. It is perfect, and eliminates any litter spills of having an open half full box. I wish their wood pellets came in the same divided packaging. Eliminstes all the mess.This litter does not track much. It also (I believe) is safer than clay if they ever accidently ingested a piece. And it is biodegradable, so easier to dispose out in our quasi-rural setting. It has no dust. It clumps VERY well, beats the best clumping cat litters. Makes scooping a breeze, and kreps the box more hygienic because they keep nicely together. It is much much lighter than clay which is avery nice convenience for me.With delivery ( a good thing since it is very hard to find in stores near us) this is convenient and it works. It is more expensive, but we are used to the expensive clay litters already, and this works for our cats.Winner!

Amazing litter, if you can get it that is. This always seems to be out of stock or take several weeks to get. This really grinds my gears. Finally find something I like and it's like a prank or something. The vanilla smells like delicious vanilla cake batter. Weird scent for cat litter but hey its certainly better than the highly perfumed nasty scents other brands use. Very light and pleasant smell and doesn't seem to be offensive to the cats.Really doesn't track at all with the larger pieces. Kind of like long cupcake sprinkles. Cats dont seem to mind the texture. Barely any dust at all, only noticed when I transferred a couple bags into a tidy cats jug. (Easier to pour) however the bag it's in is super thick and quite easy to pour from to begin with. I just wanted it in a sealable container. Comes as 2 vacuum packed bags in a box with a strong plastic handle. Easy to carry and transport. Under 15lbs so easy to carry. Each box is enough for 2 regular-large size litter boxes unless you have enormous sand pit boxes. Or I'd say at least 4 fills on an automatic box such as litter robot or similar which uses less litter. So really it's a decent value.Clumps hard and stays together! Amazing odor control for pee. Good odor control on poo too unless you have one of those lazy cats that dont cover it...but I found really no litter helps with that hahahahaOnly thing is you need to have a shovel/scooper with larger holes/slits. No biggie many cheap options here on amazon. Since the pee clumps stay together you dont have to worry about crumbles slipping through. I just had the scooper from the litter genie and the holes are too small but I found a super nice non stick metal one with soft rubber handle and holes plenty big enough for about $8...there's of course other great bargain options at around $3-4 or I'm pretty sure the usual found at the dollar store has larger holes as well.The litter is definitely worth having to buy a new scooper.So yeah, if you can find this currently unobtanium (March 2022) I definitely recommend it!

für Stubentiger und deren Angestellte pawfect!Das Streu wurde sofort angenommen von den Katzen. Sie können nach wie vor wie wild in der Toilette herumkratzen, dennoch bleibt das Streu in der Toilette und fliegt nicht so schnell heraus. Es bilden sich gute kleine Klumpen, die man schnell entsorgen kann, ohne das die Hälfte durch die Schaufel fällt. Auch bleibt es nicht an den Pfötchen haften und verteilt sich somit nicht in der Wohnung.Es entsteht fast gar kein Geruch! Allerdings entsorge ich die Klümpchen auch sofort, wenn ich zu Hause bin. Wenn ich jedoch nach Hause komme und die Toilette wurde benutzt, riecht man es nicht.Mein Fazit:Das Streu ist für Indoor Katzen sehr gut geeignet und erleichtert den Menschen den Umgang!Es riecht und staubt nicht - es ist schnell entsorgbar - die Katzen (meine jedenfalls) nahmen es sogleich an und es bleibt in der Toilette und nicht davor oder daneben.Enorme Verbesserung zum Herkömmlichen Streu, welches man viel öfter im Ganzen wechseln muss und die ganzen "Nebenwirkungen" (staubig, liegt überall rum, riecht schnell und man muss es öfters nachkaufen) fallen weg.Ja, es hat einen recht hohen Kaufpreis aber das ist es mir wert. Ich empfehle es weiter an Indoor-Katzen-Halter. Freigänger kommen sicher auch mit günstigerem Standardstreu zurecht aber dieses hier eignet sich wirklich gut, wenn Mensch und Mietze sich eine Wohnung teilen :)

My cat doesn't carry her grit any further anymore. Lovely mild vanilla scent that blocks other aromas. Easy to scope out, nice clean firm clumps. Bio degradable and made of by product.

Jag har en allergisk katt som ej tål strö som dammar.Det blir inga dammiga tassar och spår av strö på möbler och i andra rum. Lite strö kan komma precis utanför lådan men det fångas upp av katt låda mattan nedanför kattlådan.Denna kattsand dammar inte. Bildar bra klumpar som är enkelt att ta bort. Det krävs 7-8 cm tjockt lager med strö i kattlådan för att det skall fungera så bra som möjligt. Om det är för lite kattsand i lådan så blir det klumpar som fastnar på botten av kattlådan.Det står att kattsanden doftar vanilj, men tycker inte att den doftar eller upplevs som obehaglig för människa eller katter. Det luktar ej katt piss/urin från kattlådan när den används.
