Is this just the tz400 or does it come with subscription?

Thank you for your inquiry.
Yes, the 01-SSC-0213 is the TZ400 hardware only firewall.
There are no security or support services on it. Only 1 year hardware warranty and 90-day firmware updates.

Are you wanting the Security Services Suite which include support OR support only?

Node license?

Hello Jason,
All SonicWalls are unlimited node licensed now days. However, that doesn't mean they can all effectively handle an unlimited number of PCs, Laptops, Cell phones, tablets, and such connecting to the internet through it.

A TZ 400 is designed to effectively handle 26-35 users hitting it at the same time. That is including any remote users also. 
If you have more users than that, I would consider higher end models.

Also, the SKU you are considering is a hardware only SKU. The firewall does not include any Security or Support services.
Max Throughput (incoming Internet speed) will be 1.3 Gbps depending on what you are pulling through it.

However, if you desire security services, then you will need to consider different SKU options.
Once you the security services are activated, that will pull your max throughput down to 600 Mbps.

That is something to consider when considering a firewall with security services on it or not.

Will this handle 1Gb of real world data in firewall only mode?

In firewall only mode. You should depending on the type of "Real World" data you are pulling through it. At max the TZ400 hardware only appliance will do 1.3 gigs.
