Well made, sturdy, but may tip over if used for cooking.
The legs require precise adjusting to get all 4 to evenly touch the ground. It doesn't add confidence if you place a frying pan on the top of the unit for cooking.

Great camp stove.
Once you get a fire going in this stove you can feed it any kind of dry wood, pinecones, sticks and even some damp wood. From cold water to a rolling boil in 4 min 20 sec.( about 2/3 of a quart).

Good and Sturdy good place to start rebuilding.
What I like is it is good and sturdy, small and very portable, but it is a starting position. There are other better models for not much more. The draft on this model is expected to come up from the bottom. The problem is the ashes drop to the bottom and clog the vents. They give you a pair of tongs and a metal stick, I think, is for keeping the vent open. There are no directions, you can only guess at whatever they are thinking. I said rebuild the furnace. I closed off the bottom vent with a sliding door to open and close allowing the ashes to drop out. I placed a metal plate in the feed hole. The wood fuel gets laid on the top of the plate, allowing the air to enter unrestricted and less likely to clog on the bottom. Everything else I did, does not pertain to the furnace itself. It heats up really quickly, but out of the box clogs and the fire goes down to a trickle.

Impressive
The rocket stove performed above my expectations. It was easy to assemble, I walked through my yard and gathered some fallen sticks. Lit them in the unit, and within five minutes had a nice burning flame that my kids cooked chestnuts on. There was a minor issue with the unit upon arrival, and the seller was super accommodating and corrected the issue quickly and professionally. No complaints!

Rocket Stove “ROCKS” elk camp
SAFETY 1st—this does create fire and heat so place stove in a designed fire control area as mine is in a huge fire pit with a fire extinguisher near by —-Start with 5-6 charcoal and use small kindling as pictured and this stove cooks awesome with a16 inch cast iron WOK or skillet- the built in ash box is a great added safety feature that works-it cleans up easily and I found an old soft sided travel cooler that keeps all the pieces together 👍nice ambient night camp fire
