The grooming roller helps produce a better seam when using heat tapes. When used behind the iron, angled roller wheels tend to pull the nap of carpet together, achieving better penetration between carpet backing and hot heat tape adhesive. Will knit the carpet pile to cover the joining seam line when done correctly. Ideal compliment tool when carpet seam joining. Length: 180 mm Width: 125 mm Star wheel size: 30 mm

Quite sturdy for the money
I was worried this wasn't going to be heavy/sturdy to really get into my carpet repair but it was actually quite good. If you have a few small repairs to do, this is a great little tool for rolling the seams together.

Does the job... for the most part.
Does the job...for the most part. I had to replace a patch of burned carpet in the middle of a bedroom. I used the exact same carpet to fill the patch and used this with adhesive strips to secure, but the fibers don't blend completely. Over time with foot traffic it has started to blend a bit more, but initially it was obvious once you founds the seams. Not a bad buy though, could have better results if I were replacing brand new carpet next to brand new carpet instead.

Works perfect, durable.
Good construction, durable, and gets the job done. Our cat accidentally got shut in one of our kid's bedrooms, and it clawed up a section of carpet in front of the door. This seam roller worked perfect to blend the edges of the repair.

Carpet seam roller
Good quality product. A U.K. product for use on carpets installed on underlay. Not sure of its efficacy here in France as the locals generally glue their carpets direct to floor substrate. The French are not big on carpets , generally preferring tiles or click floor.Recommended.
