But, you can flash new roms via Esphome or Tasmota that will allow it to integrate into something like Home Assistant or OpenHab that can integrate with certain TP link devices and smart thermostats. Caveat: you should be comfortable with doing that sort of thing, though. Out of the box, I believe it will only work with other Sonoff devices **Q: How does this work with 120v in North America?** A: It works fine. I'm in Portland, and it connected with no issues **Q: Can the switches be used to control a virtual switch?** A: We were unhappy with the product and replaced it with one that was more compatible with Alexa. I found a two gang and three gang adapter wall plate on Etsy and problem solved. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lack of ground on because double-insulated (class 2) designation + CE & IC listing *by A***9 on November 13, 2025* The fit, finish, attachment, and overall construction seem really well built. I haven’t installed this yet, so my four-star rating is based on my subjective first impressions above. I will update this review once I get it installed into the wall and working. I was originally concerned because there’s no place to connect a ground wire from the electrical receptacle box to the device…. The device only has screw terminals for hot and neutral, plus one terminal each for the two relays to control up to two circuits. I’ve done some DIY home wiring over the years and was under the impression that current code would not allow a receptacle/switch installed in a wall box without a ground wire… but after doing a bit of research today, I learned that: 1. “Double-insulated” devices aka Class 2 devices *may* be ok if properly tested and listed by an acceptable organization/group (e.g. UL, IC, CE, etc.) (I’m not saying that that’s the only requirement… Just the key New thing I learned. It would, of course still need to be properly wired and there may be other requirements) 2. A square within square is the symbol for a double-insulated device. Looking at the back of the device, I can see that it has the double insulated marking and a CE (Canada) listing ID.
